    Spain.

I'll be rooting for Spain as in all the previous big tournaments I've watched. Underachievers, great squad, good footy usually. One day I hope they win. I don't expect it to be this year, though. They'll face the winner/runner-up of the France/Italy/Holland/Romania group.

Being someone who usually only watches the premier league and the occasional Liga game, I can't wait to see the continental players in action. Players like Benzema, Ribery, Ben Arfa, van der Vaart, Modric. Should be a good tournament. Pity England aren't in it, they're always worth a few laughs.

I'll be supporting Germany like I did after England got knocked out of the World Cup. They've got some of my favourite players so I might as well.

My main fear is that since England are out, my better-and-nevertheless-British half will refuse to acknowledge the very existence of the tournament and will choose to play GTA instead of watching the games. Hmm. I wonder if the Panini sticker album sells well in England.

And I don't like starting against Romania, I sense an upset. But if we crash out early, then Wenger will get Nasri for cheap.
