    Looks like a back 5 for the Dutch.

    Smart I guess given VvD is injured.
    Plenty of quality going forward though even without van de Beek.

    I'm curious to see how Wout Weghorst will do, apparently he's been quite good in the Bundesliga

    North Macedonia goal scorer Goran Pandev - the second oldest goal scorer in the history of the competition - made his debut for North Macedonia two months before Jude Belingham - who earlier today became the youngest player ever to play in the competition - was born.

    Honestly Austria vs N.Macedonia was probably one of better matches so far at least both teams were trying to score for nearly 90 minutes which I don't think has happened yet.

    It was interesting to compare Croatia and North Macedonia in the last 15 minutes. North Macedonia really tried to go for a goal, but of course then their defense got really weak. Still a lot more fun than Croatia that just continued the same even if they had to score to equalize.

    no idea what to expect from ukraine. have seen some picking them for a run to the last four, some barely advancing and out early. dutch have great talent, but key injuries and a poor manager.

    i think espn borrowed an NBA play-by-play guy for this game, too. bit out of place, sounds like he's never worked a football game (and can't pronounce depay).

    i've not heard of him. it sounds like he took over for doc emrick on msg as the voice of the new jersey devils, too.

    lot of his old boss mourinho in shevchenko's tactics so far. clearly just looking for a point here, and then chasing points against austria and macedonia.

    its becoming more and more obvious with each game that espn's announcers are calling these games either at the connecticut studios or from their homes. unless they had no choice in the matter due to pandemic restrictions, that was a big mistake.

    the first half of this game was the worst 45 of the tournament, and the second has been the best. wide open, aggressive play, and tons of goals.

    yarmalenko's strike for ukraine's first goal was unbelievable.
