Well, I'm not from the EU but I've been hearing some disturbing news about your new currency.
Some people claim to be impotent due to the use, some claim skin irritation, and some are just nostalgic about their old money.
I for one can't addapt to it. Just transfering prices for SW stuff is getting tediuos.
What are your experiences and thougths about it?
    I'm still wandering.

I don't like the 1 and 2 cent coins, they are useless.

Well, the coins do have a high content of nickel that causes alergic reactions (to the skin) in some people

I'm glad we don't have to use the 1 and 2 cent coins,
5 cent coin is the smallest used in Finland

I see no problem in using euros. In restaurants my bill looks like the price in dollars.

My bus fair ticket from my college to my home costs 83 cents!
Imagine what paying that looks like.
People trying to get on the bus, while the person paying tries to find those little coins.
And if the payer isn't carrying those coins, the bus driver might not have change for it...

    It's annoying and useless.
Most of the time I pay 85 cents and end the ordeal.

I like the Euros... it is fun to collect the coins from other countries.
The bad thing about the Euro is that the prices went up and things are more expensive.

I'm used to working with dollars and cent so now with the Euro it's the same.
I can uderstand that older people have problems with it.

    *checks Darth_Vesalius' country*
    Aah, a British :p

I looove Euros ! Janne is 100% right (about the prices too, unfortunately). I got my first Irish coin today, and am happy :D Already have all the Spanish and Italian ones (the chance of living in the South =) and a couple of coins from some other countries.

I just had a small problem at the beginning, that is I was used to Canadian dollars ; so things appeared to be cheap at first, when they wre actually quite expensive *big sigh* But now this is over, so only the fun of collecting remains :p

Yep, the 2 cents coin is unnecessary.

You know, I had once the awful problem that I had exactly ? 1.36 in my wallet when a sandwich costs ? 1.37 in my Uni. So yes, for some people, 1 or 2 cents are important. [face_IHateNotBeingRichAndPowerful]

Well sure in some cases they come in handy but most of the time it's confusing and not needful to have 2 cents. Didn't they already stoped useing 2 cents coin in a country somewhere  ?? (or so I heard :p )

I don't have any trouble with the ?uro. I'm all right. Well, maybe the 2 cents coin is useless, but I don't really mind. I think the ?uro is very useful for travelling all over ?urope since you can save some money... :p.

Here in Spain, many years ago, we had a 2 'pesetas' coin, but since it was useless, it was removed. [face_plain]
