Pottery Barn LFL event? ROFL. R U serious?

    For shame.

I can't make it. But sign me up for the next LFL event at the Wooden Spoon or Pier 1.

Edit: My bad. It's Pier 1, not 5. LOL.

I've trooped one B-day party as a 501st trooper, but they did donate to a charity in the name of the garrison. I'm still not sure what the deal is on this troop.

I can make myself available for bar mitzvahs, but only if Poison or Def Leppard play there.

When did we become washed-up saviors of New York City? [face_thinking]

It's because Pottery Barn is the retailer doing the new Star Wars Sheets :p

Do they come in King Size, or just Super Single for the washed up and living at home with their parents 30-somethings?

So, besides discussing "super singles", is anyone open to trooping this?

Also, just as any FYI, there will probably be some troops coming up for the Force Unleashed on September 16th.

This might change things a little bit. From the MG's site (I haven't seen this anywhere else as of yet):

They will be donating at the corporate level to charity (potentially $20k to St. Jude's Children's Research Hospital). This is a very nice, short, and easy event that can provide great contacts and exposure for the future. Please make your best effort to make this happen. If for some reason you cannot provide costumers for any given location or date, please contact me ASAP.

They aren't looking for huge numbers, just a couple of Jedi or other good guys. It would be a brief troop, and they will provide a place to change.

dh & I have spare costumes people could wear???? I wouldn't mind doing the Flat Iron's one but if most people will be at Highlands Ranch, that would be ok too. Oh & it couldn't be on our meeting weekend.

But if they want to donate $ and say it's because of the 501st/RL or/& us then that would make it mucho better. I can talk to Scott on Sat. but as it is, we are having a hard time to get people out for these events. ????/

LOL. So they realized how ridiculous the idea was, and decided to pony up a not insignificant donation in exchange? I'm almost impressed.
