Event Request - Walk to End Alzheimer's - Sept 16 - 10am - Delaware Park

Hello everyone,

We have been requested to appear at the Walk to End Alzheimer's, being held in Delaware Park, starting behind the Buffalo Zoo. Our members are welcome to join in on the walk, or remain at our table with the backdrops for photos, before and after the Walk. However, our fundraising buckets will no be able to be put out, as this event is a fundraiser on its own.

There will be a secure room for our members to change and store personal items, in one of the buildings on the edge of the Zoo. The event organizers will also supply bottled water and Tim Hortons coffee.

Event is at 10am
Arrival between 9am and 9:45am
Location: Ring Road, Delaware Park, behind Buffalo Zoo.
Parking: Either Zoo lot, or on street

It is too early to commit to this. September is a very busy month for us. Do we know roughly how long we would need to be there?

 

This is something we are interested in doing. But not sure what school/soccer schedule is yet.

 

Typically these events are 2-3 hours long. But you can arrive/leave when you need to.

There are FB and board posts for each event as not everyone is on FB.

 

Can I just say that the poor numbers for this make me sad, especially considering that this is an event that is near and dear to one of our own.
I can speak from personal experience and say that it meat so very much to me to have a good number of my North Ridge family with me at the VisionWAlk. Life gets in the way sometimes, but please consider supporting Elaine and this cause.

 

This will be a partial crew in rotation. Griffin has Soccer at 11:15-12:15.

Sorry, but I am committed to a two-day event in Medina 9/16&17 and have been for several months. I don't think anyone purposely turns down an event for a worthwhile event without good reason. I regret having to post "unavailable", especially in this case.
