Victoria. BC Events in June and Info of interest

I invite fellow members of Fan Force to know what is going on in the region, you are also invited to participate with us in the upcoming parades, no costume necessary however a SW T shirt is required.

There is a lot coming up and a lot of new information I have found this month.

Events will be starting in June and I need to start taking names to see who can attend what. We have several events coming up in Vancouver and Victoria.

- What: Oak Bay Tea Party,
- When: June 3rd,
- Where: Victoria form up at Windsor Park to Oak Bay Ave,
- Time: In all respects ready to go for 9:30 AM (show up for 8:30)
- notes: I would like a minimum of 8 bodies for this event, I need names for confirmation, bring your friends relatives and close ones! They are allowed to join us in this parade!! Provided they are wearing a Star Wars T shirt or other item, to show their support! This will be a short parade roughly 6 blocks. End point, at the entrance of Willows Park roughly 2.5 blocks from our starting point.
Plan ahead! Park your car on a side street away from Willow's park and some where near the middle of the parade route, by the time we leave, it may be very hot, and very crowded!
Be aware of the weather! Get lots of water prior to the parade... It's JUNE! i.e. HOT! or it may be by the time we step off.

- What: Esquimalt Buccaneer Day Parade,
- When: June 10th,
- Where: Victoria form up at Old Esquimalt Rd and Head St.,
- Time: In all respects ready to go for 9:30 AM (show up for 8:30)
- notes: I would like a minimum of 10 bodies for this event, I need names for confirmation, bring your friends relatives and close ones! They are allowed to join us in this parade!! Provided they are wearing a Star Wars T shirt or other item, to show their support! This will be a moderate parade route, roughly 10 - 12 blocks maybe 45 minute march. End point, at Admirals Rd, to the Left of the Tudor house.
Plan ahead! Park your car (or another person you come with) near the end of the parade route (Esq and Admirals) this is a straight march starting at Hayward down Esquimalt Rd to Admirals, roughly 10 - 12 blocks maybe 45 minute march. I can't stay to talk at the end of the march, I have to make my way back to the Esquimalt Curling Rink and set up the 501st Info/Recruiting table. Be aware of the weather! Get lots of water prior to the parade... It's JUNE! i.e. HOT! or it may be by the time we step off.

- When: June 10 and 11th,
- Where: Victoria (Inside the)Esquimalt Curling Rink can't miss it look for the fair!
- notes: This is our big recruiting drive, come check us out.

This is a Yahoo forum set up for people in BC who want to wear costumes and appear at event and stuff, kinda like us but more generic, we may be able to attract members from this group to ours and the Rebel Legion.

This is the link to "V" Con in Vancouver it is the biggest con we have yearly for BC and is managed by the BCSFA British Columbia Science Fiction Association or WCSFA (West Coast Sci Fi Ass-) this is an official group that is a registered entity in BC, good to know if we want to do our own Con in the future.
