I don't think they can reprise their role well, they still look fine in their age but it would be better not to ruin their old image.

If they put their full effort into it and working with a great director, they will do fine :D

So the real story is that examiner got some free hits from us today.

    But it's okay: I use ad-block! ;)

Be funny if they make an appearance, but it's something completely asinine. Like both are took out at a pod racing event by an engine to the face, due to poor driving by Wicket. Drunk ewoks. Hrrmph.

Or Luke and Leia's heads are stuffed and mounted on the wall of the new villain.

LOL so if I put this on a website I run everyone would believe me?

That Examiner page refers to this Showbiz 411 page, where the 'proof' is -

"I was told some time ago that Ford, Carrie Fisher, and Mark Hamill would be reprising their roles in Episode &, Obviously this new movie won’t pick up where “Return of the Jedi” ended. It’s some time in the future."

Right. Someone told this guy. Well that's enough proof for me.

    *rolls eyes*

    Awesome news if true!

Either they're trying to ride the coattails of the Harrison Ford announcement yesterday, or there's more truth to it than meets the eye. [face_thinking]

I pretty much assumed this with the Harrison Ford announcement, wouldn't make sense for Han to be part of the story without Luke and Leia.

I'm sure Disney will set them up with some good personal trainers, plastic surgery, hgh etc... that's a small expense for what is riding on these films. Age isn't much of a issue with Hollywood, look at stallone he's more jacked in his 60's than he was in the 80's.

Nope, he's already announced he plans to work with the Sequel Trilogy.

    http://www.jwfan.com/?p=5407
“We’re about to play Star Wars [audience interrupts with cheers] and each time we play it, I’m reminded of the first time we played it decades ago. Neither I, nor George, nor anyone else involved thought this would go far or in a few years there would be a sequel and I’d have to revisit the themes…and years later another trilogy. Now we’re hearing of a new set of movies coming in 2015, 2016…so I need to make sure I’m still ready to go in a few years for what I hope would be continued work with George…[more cheers].”

I'm not sure, but put someone in a bubble of continuous training & their body changes pretty quick. I think it's standard practice in Hollywood. For example look at Gerard Butler in 300, he gave a interview about how they had him/supporting cast in a fitness cocoon to prepare for that roll. With Luke it'll be easier, control his diet get him lifting & slap a beard on him & he's good to go. All these stars are on hgh so I'm sure with the pressure to succeed they'll get on the program it's a dirty secret of Hollywood that you don't hear much about, but it's very prevalent.

LOL [face_laugh] This post shows how little you know.

I think Ford was the last of the Big 3 dominos to fall. He said he was open to the idea based on director and script. Those issues are squared away. Money is no object. Carrie and Hamill were already signed on I bet. Now we await the OFFICIAL announcement on the mother site SW.com.

So what's the over/under on when the announcement comes?

I'll guess under six days now that all these rumors are out there.

I'm going with it being announced after the 24th. Save the announcement until after the showbiz rags are done with their Oscar coverage. Let's see if Grand Admiral Kennedy gets her Oscar first, then we'll talk casting reveals.

I'm just following the pattern though you could be right. It seems every time there was a HOT "rumor" -- Arndt and JJ -- the announcement came a day or two after. These rumors are hotter than hot so I'd almost expect an announcement on the next business day, whhich is Monday.

Either way, the news sure hasn't died down too much since the JJ announcement. Thankfully! :p
