Alright, there it is.

I?ve never done anything like this before, you know. It?s sort of a new thing.

I thought it might a good idea to keep a record of, well, this war.

An account. In case anyone cares enough to know what it?s like to be an unknown soldier.

The Kaminoans certainly don?t. To them, we?re all mindless machines, built to follow orders. Just like them clankers. I suppose this is my way of kicking back, rebelling. Showing that I?m- that we?re all unique. That we aren?t all droids.

We aren?t the stars of this holodrama. The Generals are, they?re the ones sharing the light of fame. ?Specially Skywalker, the hero without fear they call him. I?ve seen enough of him to know that?s not right.

It?s been seventeen months since Geonosis. Since the start of this bloody war. I used to think it was great to get out of the training cells.
Now, not so much.

Heh, for all the faults the Generals have, they nailed one thing; you really need no attachments, ?cause, in this war, they always get torn from you.

I know this all too well...





...Heh, I guess I forgot to mention my designation.

The Kaminoans call me CC-7567.

The Generals call me Rex.

You'll call me Captain or sir. Understood?"

 

Awesome start! Although, Rex isn't a designation. That's his name, which would have been given to him by the other clones or something... Y'know?

Great start, Rex. I like this grunts eye view. Your style is accessible and easy to read.

It's clear that Rex has no love for the Kaminoans, but he also seems to have a dim view of the Jedi. I look forward to this being fleshed out a bit. Perhaps, he likes some more than others? Or is he just no fan of the Jedi either.

I also enjoyed how Rex wanted to distinguish himself and his kind from the mindless droning 'Clankers'.

All I can add to that is . I've always wondered why they called him that. Personally, I think the clones should have gotten more credit for what they did, but oh well.

"-Aahh, much better; bloody helmets don't breath as well they look. Cooling units are all down. Just another result of the attack; pretty well everything else is down, destroyed, or is irrelevant. Figures, the load lifters are working, but the conveyor belts needed to get the supplies to the load lifters aren't. Well, isn't that just wonderful, thanks be to force and all that. At least the 'freshers are still doing what they do best...



Teams are being sent out to track down Ventress and that Gunray fellow. Good luck to them, the seps don't take kindly to being followed. This scar is livin' proof of that."

*crackling, wobbling*

"Ah, so much for this thing, I never shoulda trusted Anakin for a decent holorecorder. He'll say it's my fault, too, when I ask. 'Those things are delicate, Rex, you should take more care!' Pish."
