Um, Whoever, well, Nighthawk is a GUY, and doesn't carry a blaster. And Dal was the original. His name was changed to Darth Torivs. Thanks.

BTW, the sith inflitrator is called the Dark Falcon, and it does have a cloaking device in it.

BEGINNING OF DARKNESS

IT IS A TIME OF PEACE FOR THE OLD REPUBLIC. WITH THE JEDI AT THEIR SIDE, THEY STAND ALL BUT INVINCIBLE.

BUT PRESSURES ARE BUILDING OUTSIDE, AND EVEN INSIDE THE REACH OF THE REPUBLIC. ONE SUCH PRESSURE IS THE FACTION LED BY THE DARK JEDI LORD DARTH TIBERIUS. Smocklay and Sui-Son Maal must survive for they have information vital to the security of the Republic. They have fled to the distant planet of Galdimari. We must intercept the Sithspawn at this location.

([Scott] is leaning against the wall and then swiftly walks away, unnoticed...)

---Screen moves from left to right shifting over to Ke-Son Maal and Smocklay in their Starfighters...---

Ke-Son: There! In that cave.

(View of camera panning down to a mountainous terrain toward a cave...)

Smocklay: Yes, Sir.

(The two unique ships floats down and enters the rather large cave...)

Smocklay: We are receiving a transmission from the Republic. They have sent reinforcements to assist us. I hope it?s not too late.

---2 Sith ships come out of light speed near a moon...---

(The two ships split in two opposing directions and the Sithspawn jumps alone while the Dark Falcon joins the rest of the Sith fleet, consisting of 1 Frigate, 2 Victory Star Destroyers, and 1 Modified Corvette, plus 30 K-Wings, 30 Blastboats, and 30 I-7s...)

(Gold Squadron drops out hyperspace with 2 Corellian Corvettes, 1 Modified Frigate, and 1 Marauder Corvette. There are 10 CloakShape fighters in Gold Squad, 12 Y-Wings in Black Squad, and 14 Z-95s in Blue Squad. The 2 fleets engage each other?battle scene...)

Gold 8: All ships, we have enemy fighters, bombers and interceptors on an approach vector.
Blue Leader: Interceptors, S-foils to attack position. Black squad, drop back. We?ll cover you.
GL: All fighters form attack pattern Delta-5. Bombers and interceptors move to mark 3 point 5 and target their bombers. Corvettes stay back until we break thru their defenses.

sorry for saying so 'late'. I quickly read through the first pages of this thread and didn't find this anywhere.

You might want to think of another name. 'Beginnings of Darkness' is really close to 'Seeds of Darkness' in meaning.

 

I think I'm going to put Gilgath in my fanfilm too, sounds like a good name to go with

Ok, I didn't take the time to read the script. But... Here's what I'd change (minor stuff) to make the crawl look better. However, these are nothing but suggestions. I don't claim to hold the truth

LMAO My friend had a hamster named Gilgath when we were in Junior High (long time ago); I think the hamster should own the rights to that name, or at least my friend cause the hamster is dead I'm sure. I'll see how legal that is, if the hamster left my friend a will...

 

Thanks to Crunhy who bumped the thread with his post, I realized I had written "Dusk of Evil" when I meant "Dawn of Evil"... eh eh...so here's what I'd say instead of "Beginnings of Darkness" : "Dawn of Evil".
Means quite the same of course, but removes "of Darkness" and sounds cooler.

 

Gilgath IS a pretty cool name...

I've had and used this name as an alias and a character for 5 years now, and I've never seen anyone else coincidentally use it ANYWHERE on the 'net.

I've been impersonated twice already, I don't need it happening again.

Look, if you make the name public, then it will be used, whether you like it or not. If you don't want it used, just talk to yourself in the mirror, and keep it between you two.

BTW, I'm on page 12 of my 'Gilgaths Revenge' script.

 

My main goal is to prevent further impersonation.
After that, I know it's a cool name, and I would like to keep it my own. I made it up long LONG before I found that McCaffery had used it too, and also that it's some legend blacksmith guy.

it's just that 'Scott' isn't very Star-Wars-ish, wouldn't you agree?


What bugged me is that 'Lisen used my character without giving credit, and forcing him into a completely new character.
It's like writing a SW Fan Fic, but making Anakin play as a stormtrooper through the whole thing. Not too fun.

I don't want to come off sounding like a n00b here. I'm a digital artist, a decent 3D modeler, a writer, and a well-on-his-way concept artist. I just don't *do* Star Wars, and I would rather that my name be kept out of it.

if you don't want people to use that name or know that you were intersted in using that name in your own project, but really all I can say is 'tough', you weren't the first person to use that name. You really need to think outside of the box!

also there are more than just one search engine out there, sorry if you felt that it was a unique name, all I can say is "back to the drawing board" huh.

And what do you mean about using your name without giving credit? And your name is just a placeholder. It will not be used in the "final script". Hey, np. That's what we're here for... Although, the Writer's Resource board has some good people too. You may want to post this there as well. Just an idea. Now, back to business...

This sequence is a little stilted, especially as Cindy doesn't end up being much of a character (at least in what you've posted so far) I understand that you need to show that Nighthawk used to be a Jedi, but I think it could be more natural. I'll think of something, if you like, but I've got to run now. Your script has excellent potential, but I think there are too many extraneous characters as it stands now. Good luck and feel free to ask me anything, either on this thread or PM me.

 

LOL!!! I have been reading this whole argument on "Gilgath" and it's quite entertaining! All of you know that "Gilgath the person" is going to be in "Beginning of Darkness(or whatever we change the name to)" right?

PS: this name issue has been a problem ever since we started writing the script, this is not new. But it's still funny

 

GarenLiLorian, were did you see the name 'Rupert' in the new script? It has been changed to 'Nighthawk' for a long time, so were did you see it? Also we can't seen to be able to add to Cindys' charater. Any ideas? And I would like for you to think of something for the talking between Nighthawk and Kay. As for the extrenous charaters, they were brought onto the movie out of nesserity. And what does 'PM me' mean? And how do I do it? Thanks. Bye.
