Fan Force Trivial Pursuit: Boonta Eve Classic

Do you think you know everything there is to know about the Star Wars universe? How about your Expanded Universe knowledge? Well, now is the time for everyone to dig out their thinking caps because boy do we have a game for you. Without any further delay, may I present....

The Official Star Wars Trivial Pursuit for FanForce!!


Official Rules(that can change at any time)

Team Construction and Rules:
- Teams will be made of 3 users.
- Each team must submit it's team name, name color combo and the city they are from.
- Each team must submit it's team captain and roster.
- Multiple teams from a chapter can compete.
- Each Team must represent a FanForce Chapter. Although you do not have to represent an Official chapter of FanForce you do need to represent a city forum.
- Each team will nominate a leader and that person would submit the answers.

Game Rules:
- The cut off time for sign ups is at 9pm board time on each Wednesday before the game starts.
- A maximum of 20 teams will be taken per game.
- If any team member other than the nominated leader submits your team answers you will be penalized 3 points.
- Teams may discuss answers via PM or other means but no discussion in the thread or your team gets disqualified.
- Answers must be submitted to the appropriate Mod by PM.
- A 24-hour time limit to answer the questions.
- The team with the most amount of points after 3 rounds wins.
- In the event of a tie the host will ask a tie breaker question and the first team to answer correctly wins.

Bonus Rules:
- The first team to submit thier answers receives 1 bonus point for being first in.
- The winner of each round will receive a lifeline for the following week's questions. We will call it the "Golden Widget". If you don't know the answer to a question you may use the "Golden Widget" and receive full credit for that question.

Game Progression as follows:
- Sunday Night 7PM board time: Questions will be released; the number of questions will vary from week to week. There will be at least 10 questions per week.
- Monday Night 7PM board time: Deadline for Submission of answers.
- No awards will be handed out until the end of the contest.

Prize For Winners:
- Vip Colors. Winners will have to use a predeterminded color combo chosen by the team at signups.
- A Custom Title so you don't have to touch your signature.


REGAURDING WINNERS: DO NOT ABUSE YOUR VIP POWERS. IF YOU ARE SEEN USING AN ADMIN/CR ICON OR STARTING THREADS IN THE CENSUS AREA, THERE WILL BE AN IMMEDIATE TERMINATION TO YOUR TEAM'S VIP STATUS AND YOUR TEAM WILL BE BANNED UNTIL FURTHER NOTICE. THIS SERVES AS A WARNING.

We're likely in this round (have to find my third member and ask her) but I'd like to protest this rule:

- The first team to submit thier answers receives 1 bonus point for being first in.

Being as it is somewhere between 4 - 5 am in most of the European FanForce areas that would like to play I feel this is unfair to them.

In addition, this also gives an unfair advantage to the Pacific and Mountain time zone FF chapters as they will have a good 5 - 6 hours before people need to go to sleep to give answers.

I do like the Golden Widget though.

 

The bonusrule stands. That is why it is considered a bonus. It sort of plays in with the name of the game this time around. A race so to speak.
