Fanfilm Update (Concept to CGI)

A few of you have been following my progress toward the production of my Fanfilm, Force Legacy. After months of hard work, and long render times, I've gotten a single back-ground environment from conceptual stage to final product.

Opinions, Critiques, and Advice on improvement are welcome.

 

Looks wonderful man, good job! If you have alot of CG in your movie, just makes you want to cry with the amount of work you have yet to do...

 

64 CG sets total, and that's the simple one. Volunteers welcome.

 

holy puudoo!! Those concepts were awsome enough, but the finished products kick it. I thought for a second there the botoom was a real stage you built, major kodo's.

 

That is the best complement I have ever recieved for this project. Thank you. I've mentioned this before, the original concept art was drawn by TF.N's very own ConceptArtist.

 

Very nice there Corrin... looks like you've spent alot of time toying with Mental Ray. Keep it up man.

Looks really good. Congratulations. At the rate you're going tho ... it doesn't sound like you'll ever get done with all those sets. Then you have to still shoot all that video and do all that compositing work. But this concept you made is really good.

 

Very nice. How's the mining facility model coming along?

 

Well, I did anticipate that it would end up being a few years yet until I finished the fanfilm, but this is amazing progress, and people are volunteering to help me left and right. It's fantastic.

 

Very cool ..good job!!Any chance we can get a sneak peak to the other cg locations?

Like i said in the other thread, im up to help with set construcion and also random objects to go in the scene, but no rendering.

Small update: Done some small background buildings, not too much detail, may stay that way depending on how far corrin decides to have them from teh camera .

Started work on the next large building, even though i'm not finished the first two yet I mainly want to get an idea of what they are gonna look like as a whole.

Anyway, withought further adoo.

Though I wish you would have a web site for all of this stuff! Everytime I see your updates I eagerly click on your web site to learn more about the fan film and all thats there is comic/animae stuff?

 

Yes. I'm also the author of a sprite comic that hasn't been updated in ages. I'll try to get a web site up soon, I promise.

 

wat software are you using

 

3DS Max for the CG, but I did some texture editing in Photoshop.
