    99p?

    Damn! I've gotta do that.

What's a Youth Hostel? If it hasn't got a bed, then no thanks!

Paying for the printing first, and then, if I can get 99p(plus tax) flights and a cheap hostel room (with a bed), then I should be able to afford it.

youth hostel /backpacker ist pretty simple but cheap acommodation. usually in rooms that u share with 4 or more people (it really depends). they are for young people (Interrail/Eurail etc.)
usually you pay something like 20 euros a night incl. breakfast. but of course the prices are different from country to country and city to city

So, even if it was just me, they'd shove me in with 4 people I didn't know?

    Thats not very polite!

    But the price is good.

yes, they do, but maybe you can get some other FF people together to book one room. u should do that pretty quick, though as august is high season and stockholm a tourist magnet...

How many people have said they are going so far?

I'll have to look, and hope that more are coming, because I think that I'm the only frequent male poster in this thread.

I guess maybe one or two of the guys from FFDK might show up too... And there'll be some of the Swedish guys too, I believe, right Nina? (haven't seen any confirmations in the Swedish thread of any of them actually going to show up...)

Well, although not many Swedes have confirmed that they will come, I don't doubt that a lot of them will show up... ;)

As for hostels, I know that emilsson have checked some of them... if you're looking for something maybe she can be of help.

Ryanair is pretty good, you can get really cheap airfares with them... I flew to Paris last fall with Ryanair and it worked perfectly fine. :) Only problem is that you land at this little airport in the middle of nowhere and then have to sit on a bus for like 1½ hours or so to get to Stockholm... but hey, it's cheap.

Yeah, well, I don't mind buses. I have to sit on one for abot 1h45 every day anyway.

About hostel prices in Stockholm, it is cheaper to book a bed instead of a room. The cheapest one is Backpackers Inn

They offer beds from £12.7/night to £15.7/night. Of course, the less you pay the more people will share the room.

Some hostels offer single rooms and they cost around £37/night. Example:

    Zinkensdamm

Enji, an idea for one of the nights.

Why don't you show us the Stockholm Metal Underground scene! (Anyone who doesn't like metal needn't come). I want to see some cool unsigned bands!

Hmmm, well, I have no knowledge of the metal underground scene, but maybe I could dig up some info if people are interested...

Oh yeah, I was going to put something together about places to visit and stuff to do! I will do that as soon as I get the time...

Also, I should update the homepage with the time of the meeting and such, but I've been unable to reach the server so I can't update it now... :(

yeah. Well, I know a bit about scouting. Sort of. But don't tell anyone!

But Sweden's really good for Metal, so I figure the Underground scenes got to be good.

Its pretty much just gigs in small pubs, large pubs, clubs, etc.

That's great news, Michi! :) And I hope you can come too, Manu, it would be great seeing you.

As for more info and stuff... well, right now I'm not up to getting stuff organised due to the fact that a friend and member of FF Sweden passed away suddenly and unexpectedly last Friday. But I will start to get things done for the meeting soon.

Can't wait to meet you all! This year I WILL be there!! (I 'll do anything possible to be there!)

Nina, du skal ikke undskylde - der er ikke noget at undskylde for. Det er klart at du ikke har overskud til at planlægge møde nu. [:D]
