And what will Kyle Katarn's card say? "You win both this game and retroactively the last one. And all the money in this room at the moment"

There is no such card. Because no one plays Kyle Katarn.

Yeah, that whole hundred pages of stuff that isn't game mechanics? Corporate Sector? Fondor? "Law and Order in the Galaxy"?

    I like that.

More art. Disappointingly white, but so is Hoth, so I suppose that's appropriate.

Dodonna looks like he's having a heart attack tho.

Considering his situation at the time, that might not be all that far from the truth.

A few reused bits of art there.

True, but it is good art. Echo Base Defense and Jedi Training both look like McQuarrie concept art, Fleeing the Empire is from IIRC the Atlas, and Yoda looks like the art from Galaxies 6 card set.

Dodonna could have just found out about Vrads sacrifice, which would explain his stricken expression.

They're using a lot of McQuarrie art, yes. He gets credited down at the bottom of the card.

I'd like that. We haven't seen nearly enough of the familial dynamic between the two of them.

While Battle Of Hoth is old news, I love the images of the exploding AT-ST and the snowspeeders. :)

So, the Desolation of Hoth Force Pack is out. Does anyone know who the Jedi is on the Weapon Mastery card?

The art is stunning, but it would be fun to see some original or obscure stuff. That is one that the things that the old CCG did well. I want a card for a captured Carrack cruiser serving in the Rebel Navy, or a Iridonian Zabrak colonel that serves the Empire. Give me a random T-wing pilot or a scheming Imperial bureaucrat who wants to setup his own mini fiefdom in the Outer Rim. I want stuff that expanded and enriches, not just rehashes what we already know.

I wouldn't expect too much of that until we're done with the movie-based card sets.

At which point they'll be ready to just start on the sequel card sets. [face_sigh]

Thinking about it, since that's from the RPG, it means you could now be a Rodian playwright.

Didn't Onoconda Farr write a play that was forever-hours long in HolonetNews?

EDIT: AHhhh here it is: http://starwars.wikia.com/wiki/The_Trickery_of_Vosdia_Nooma

It wasn't forever-hours long though. I have no idea why I thought that. The length of the LOTRs has tempered me over the decade.

So, it's actually a WEG reference. Who knew?

I did. :p Heroes and Rogues is one of my favorite WEG books because of the hilarious variety of character archetypes they have in there. The Rodian Dramatist is a fun one, but they also have the Rodian Pacifist as well. There's also the failed Jedi, and the quixotic Jedi.

Many of the character archetypes in Heroes and Rogues were either revisioned versions of existing WEG characters, or were later repurposed to be actual characters.
