Yay. More new Games that aren't news about Armada.

 

Oh my gosh I am so excited. Yet another good looking Star Wars game from FFG. This summer is going to be awesome, with both this and Journeys in Middle Earth coming out.

Yesterday I finally GM'd a first RPG sesion!. (Technically we'd done the EOTE beginner game a year or 2 ago, but I don't really count that as none of us really knew what we were doing).

We got about halfway through with Lessons from the Past from the FAD Core Rulebook. Though in some parts I had to reign everyone in to keep them on track, overall everyone had a blast.

I saw a bit on the Star Wars Show, are they putting out a giant Super Star Destroyer model for Fantasy Flight Games? It looks like the size of a 2x4

 

One of these years they will. Last I looked it was still "In Development"

I’ve been reticent to enter the miniatures hobby. My money goes to books (RPG, novels, comics, reference).

But there’s a huge sale in Mexico for some X-Wing minis, although they are 1.0. Does it still makes sense to buy them?

(I’m targeting the Force Awakens starter pack, a B-Wing, a TIE Interceptor and the Heroes of the Resistance one).

I've got some X-wing and Armada minis that sit on a bookshelf and look cool, so if they're on sale I'd say go for it.

 

If you're planning to use them for display, or to only play casually, then go for it.

Even if you later decide to play competitively, you can buy the 2.0 stat cards/dials to "upgrade" your models then.

 

I ended up getting into X-Wing for a time, before work schedules made it difficult to continue, because I bought the Millennium Falcon and Slave I for decorative purposes.

 

This and the Imperial TIE Fighter and the B-Wing (pending delivery) for only $22 dollars.

Huh, I have no idea why, but Amazon has the Armada Victory Star Destroyer and the Interdictor on sale for about $12. Normally I wouldn't have bought the Interdictor, but for that price, well, I can't resist.

 

Did it stop you in your tracks?
