Hee! [face_dancing] I loved the "Lady Githany" piece in pencil, so had to rush in to check out your coloring of it--it's awesome!! =D= Great work with her look and costume--and that lightwhip had to be a tough thing to do! It looks wonderful, and I'm sure TheOnlyJediPrincess is too happy for words over it! :D Awesome job!

I've already said it in TheOnlyJediPrincess's thread: The coloring is awesome! If you ask me, it also adds great depth to the picture. I love it! [face_love] =D= Very well done!

earlybird: Thanks so much for stopping by!

Handmaiden: Thank you, it's growing on me a lot, too.

FF: The lightwhip wasn't too difficult, just a chore keeping the distance of the glow even all around. But thank you.

    TOJP: You're quite welcome.

Chilla: Thank you very much. [:D]

Wasn't ready to fall asleep last night, so I decided to get out my sketch book and draw, and this is what came out:

Oh, yeah--wonderful! I'm going to have to go look at this book now--first Chilla, now you; there seems to be a lot to glean from its pages... ;)

Love the line and contrasts you're working into things--the deep shadowing under the hood really gives it depth (and the garment itself is beautifully done); I'll suggest deepening the shadows around the left eye, as well: if you add some more contrast there, it'll "pop" that evil eye out more (most of the time, I try to reserve my softest, darkest pencils for doing features--eyes in particular). Great capture of his snide and evil grin here (it gives me shivers! lol!)--great proportions, too! I love it! :D

Wow!! "Mondo" update indeed! You've certainly been busy with all the coloring--I especially love the two you did for Chilla--very, very nice, especially on 3PO! All of them look great--and the tribute poster looks wonderful! =D= I love the glow around the font, and the way you included nearly everyone! Very nice pieces, BF!

    P.S. I've sent you a PM... :D

Thank you Deb for the compliments in here and for thinking of me with the PM...

Two colorings for your (hopefully) viewing pleasure. The first is another piece I colored for the 30th anniversary banner that will go up in here. It's of one of my favorite characters, Wedge Antilles:

    Lineart by Elysiann:

    [image=http://i19.photobucket.com/albums/b157/sea102883/Art/Wedge_by_Elysianncolor.jpg]

The second is a coverart FF did for Flowerlady's story Path of Dreams. I'm glad Flowerlady and FF like it, because I'm not sure I do. The colors needed in this one don't really respond will with the next technique I've been using and I haven't found a way to counteract what happens when I try to use it. So this is with the other way I color images.

AH!! =D= I love the coloring of Elysiann's drawing of Wedge!! Great job on that flight suit, and his face looks wonderful! The coverart coloring is beautiful, and I know that Flowerlady loves it, too! I had a couple of comments over at dA about how difficult this one would be to color, but you did a wonderful job with it! Thank you again for all the help with that (one of these days, I'm going to have to at least get SOME sort of painting/editing program... **sighs** ;) )! [:D]

I just wanted to say thanks again for your contribution to a wonderful cover art.

I've gotten nothing but rave reviews about it in the story thread as well.

It really does capture the story rather well.

FF: Thanks, I'm glad you like the colorings. And I kind of hope you never get a coloring program because I want to do it myself. :p

Flowerlady: Thank you very much. I'm glad you and your fans are happy with it.

    ROFL!! [face_laugh][face_laugh] I won't make a promise, but I'm such a pencil addict, I don't see it happening any time soon! [face_laugh] You're a dear, you know? [:D]

Yet another colored piece from the lovely FF. Luke Skywalker with the newer technique, which I'm loving more and more.

    Basement24: Thanks so much!

Deb: Please don't give me too much credit with the color. I just went with a bright blue and the different hues were created by your shadowing with the lineart. But thank you so much for the kind words.

This is my beloved OC, Nawra. I did the sketch in pencil and then colored in Photoshop. I'm already picking out stuff I don't like, but I'm putting it up here anyway. Huge thanks to FalconFan for lending a helping and guiding hand. [:D]

"I'm already picking out stuff I don't like"

We all do that with our own work, BF--it's a chronic problem for artists (and especially those with a perfectionistic streak! ;) )! This is very nice (and I'm glad my suggestions helped!): the eyes are beautifully colored--I guess I never realized they included two different colors (Mom's and Dad's colors!); if you add in a crease (using the same brown in her iris) above the eyes, it'll help ease that "surprised" look (study your own eyes in a mirror, or look at some photos of faces--you'll see the crease I mean). The top of her head has a bit of a slope from (viewer's) left to right--try rounding that out some more (turning the image upside down when doing this will help: it'll help you to see the curve correctly). The facial proportions are good--good placement of the features in relation to each other (eyes, nose, mouth), and the facial shading looks nice as well. My last suggestion would be to brighten the highlights on her hair (after you correct the shape of the head)--it'll aid in the visual contouring of the head--and touch in a brighter "catch light" in her eyes, to more accurately reflect the bright light on her face.

I hope this wasn't too stringent a critique--I think this will be a worthy addition to your fic, and a lovely portrait of Nawra! BTW--I love that shade of purple on her--it looks really great with her coloring! ;) :D

    FF

PS--Will be sending a link to a reference that may work for another of the pieces you need...

Big thanks to Z for doing this picture. She did the lineart, I colored and added the background:

I just love this! =D= Your coloring of Zonoma's portrait of Wyn is so beautiful, and I think it captures the woman in your story so very well: a woman of spirit, a light heart and much joy--it all comes through! Great job with the b/g as well--a nice cohesive feel. Wonderful palette, and a lovely touch with the shading, too. Beautiful job, Sara--definitely one to be proud of for sure! =D=

Late in getting this touched up and posted, but hopefully Z (who did the lineart) won't mind too much.

Not even a little bit! :D

    The coloring:

 It's gorgeous! I was so discouraged with the chin and you made it all better with a little color! That is amazing! Your grasp of glare spots and shading is always improving and this is no exception. Excellent job, Sara! Simply marvelous.=D=

EDIT:  I didn't realize I hadn't commented on "Aunt Wyn" in here. You know how I feel about it, but I wanted to reiterate what an awesome job you did stylizing the background to blend in with the subject but no overshadow her.

Oh WOW!! She looks like a photograph! =D= I love the palette--the lighter tones behind her really emphasize the brightness of that expression! I loved the linework from Z, and you've really done it justice with this coloring, Sara! =D= Great work!

A couple of colorings to show. Warning, both were done late at night, so there are some obvious flaws, my apologies to the artists.

    [face_laugh][face_laugh]

I should have known when I posted "Skivvies" that something like this would be in the works!! [face_laugh] That's awesomely hilarious, BF!! The leopard print had me on the floor!! **wipes away tears** Poor Grand Master Luke...if he only knew what we'd reduced him to: a fancy-undies model!! [face_laugh][face_laugh]=D=

You know I love the Padme coloring, too--it never stops being magical, how much your artistic touch adds to one of my b/w drawings... She looks fabulous--beautiful colors, wonderful skintones...

And I think you need an edit for the Jaina piece: the original was by TheOnlyJediPrincess, not Chilla. I love the coloring of that piece too--the smoking ruins of the Kashyyk tree dwelling outside perfectly match poor Jaya's anguished expression... You did a great job with the tears in particular--they stand out just enough. Lovely! TOJP loves it, I know (I saw her response in her thread!)!

Hope school isn't proving too taxing--and good luck on getting the entertainment piece in! ;)
