PT Favorite lightsaber design?

I love most of them, but there's something about Obi-Wan's in TPM that clinches it for me. Maybe something to do with the simplicity of it.

 

Posted here earlier but I wanted reiterate that Dooku's saber hilt is still the best IMO.

The curved design is still unique and we haven't had one like it since. The elegant's of it also speaks to Dooku as a man of class and culture.

 

Its especially designed for Makashi (Form II) which is a dueling lightsaber form. Its makes using sabre, epee, wnd side sword techniques easier.

I chose Mace Windu’s lightsaber. I like how compact and well-designed the hilt is. There’s a nice contrast between the black and gold in the hilt (a little more ostentation that we might have expected from the no-nonsense Windu). The unique blade colour really made Mace stand out on the battlefield (as was Jackson’s intention). I also read somewhere that the activation button has the letters “BMF” inscribed on it. Brilliant.

Qui-Gon and Obi-Wan

 

A very uniquw choice. I have wielded the toy Darksaber and its great for Makashi (Form II) and Niman: Sabre, and Kenjitsue (Samurai Sword).

The extra long hilts from Tales of the Jedi.

 

Great Sabers and Lightclubs oh my!

 

TPM/AotC Obi-Wan and Dooku were always my favorite prequel era hilts, with Qui-Gon's not very far behind.

 

I really liked the hilt for Count Dooku's lightsaber.

 

Darth Sidious, but it was hard to pick over Maul's classic design.

 

Elsctrum Hilts are all the rage.

 

Mace Windu. Love the touches of gold. On top of that, he has the coolest colour blade.

 

The hilt of Mace's sabre is beautiful.

 

Yoda's shoto lightsaber was actually really cool.
Obi Wan/Old Ben's saber hilt from eps III & IV are my favorite of the Jedi and Vader's for the Sith.

 

Ben’s III and IV hilt is also Luke’s VI hilt only with color changes.

 

And the emitter tip is different

 

True, and Luke’s has a more bevelled pummel and clip.

Still its exciting that you see Luke based his design after Kenobi’s.
