    ....and don't tell me "it's an interdimensional ship" - I'm a 1980's kid, I know spaceships. That's a spaceship and it doesn't belong.

    Does it have to go to space to be a spaceship? It's true she was a prototype and never intended for actual spaceflight. However, they did consider fitting her for active flight to replace the destroyed Challenger.
