I got this idea from the Star Wars forums. What is your single favorite moment from each film? I'll start!

Raiders of the Lost Ark: opening the Ark

Temple of Doom: the "elephant" on Willie

The Last Crusade: the escape from Castle Brunwald / motorcycle chase / chair on fire

Kingdom of the Crystal Skull: the entire jungle sequence

 

Raiders: The scene in the Map Room.

Temple: Definitely Indy bursting into the slave tunnels, standing up to the slavers and freeing all the slaves.

Crusade: The arrival in the canyon of the crescent moon.

That or Donovan's meeting with the president of Hatay: "Rolls-Royce Phantom Two. 4.3 litre, 30 horsepower, six cylinder engine, with Stromberg Downdraft carburetor. Can go from zero to 100 kilometers an hour in 12.5 seconds. And I even like the color."

This is going to sound probably predictable, but my favourite scene/sequence in each:

Raiders: The Ark being opened. Divine wrath melting some Nazis' faces
Temple: Indy coming to understand that the Sankara Stones belong with the natives and saves the one, letting Mola Ram fall to a crocodile-filled death
Crusade: Indy reaching for the grail, his father finally calling him Indiana. Very emotional ending
Skull: Chase through the jungle

 

Raiders: truck chase
Crusade: evading traps in the grail cave
In the other two films, nothing really stands out to me.

 

I'm not sure I understand the implication of this gif

 

Raiders: When Indy chases the truck with the Ark on a horse. That is the best chase scene in any film, including Bullet.

Temple of Doom: After Indy realizes who he is again he shows up to rescue the kids and is shown in sillhouette.

The Last Crusade: Indy takes one the three challenges and talks to the Knight guarding the Grail.

Skull: Hmm, i actually don't have a favorite here. But make no mistake I do like the movie despite a few misgivings.

 

That jungle chase is honestly my least favourite part in the four movies. Very surprised to see it's your favourite in Kingdom.

 

Oh, this is gonna be tough, especially for Raiders and Temple of Doom...

Raiders: guess I'll go with the truck chase, particularly the part when he says "I'm making this up as a I go along" and jumps on the horse



Temple of Doom: I love the opening sequence in the nightclub, but I'll go with the scene where Indy cuts the bridge in two



Crusade: It's really weird, but nothing's popping into my mind for some reason, but I guess I'll go with his horseback chase in that one too:



Crystal Skull: it would have to be the fridge scene that Darkslayer posted!

 

Raiders of the Lost Ark: Either the opening sequence or the quick "brought a gun to a sword fight" moment. It's hard to chose just one scene, because the film is pretty much perfection; one of my top three favorite movies of all time, alongside Star Wars and The Empire Strikes Back.

Temple of Doom: Either the opening sequence in Club Obi Wan (this series has such great cold opens) or the scene when Indy cuts the bridge.

The Last Crusade: Indy evading all of the traps protecting the Holy Grail. I would rewind this stuff over and over as a kid, it's just so much fun.

Kingdom of the Crystal Skull: Probably the conversation between Indy and Mutt (a character that I think gets way too much flak) that turns into a "jocks vs. greasers" malt shop fight that turns into a chase scene through 1950s America. It's a really fun extended sequence, with an energy and wit the rest of the film is lacking. Also when the fake town gets test nuked towards the beginning; watching all of the little mannequins spontaneously burst into flames and melt is both hilarious and disturbing.

 

Raiders: "Nice try, kid, but I think you just brought a sword... to a gunfight."

Temple of Doom: the moment where the Thuggee overseers are whipping a kid who fell down, then stop and see Indy standing there. Camera cut away; :UNCH PUNCH::

Last Crusade: the "should have mailed it to the Marx brothers" conversation.

 

Raiders: Favorite scene is when India shoots the swordsman, just found it hilarious.

Doom: The bridge scene.

Crusades: Every scene! Ok I guess it would be the Tank chase scene or anything with Connery.

Skull: End Credits.

 

Raiders: Either the opening sequence with the temple thing in the jungle, or the Desert Chase. IDK, my friends and I used to imitate both a lot as a kid

ToD: The first sacrifice scene. That bit about scared the pants off of me as a kid!

Last Crusade: The Sewers.

KotCS: The Area 51 scene.

 

Raiders: "Top...men."
TOD: "Anything Goes" in mandarin.
The Last Crusade: Sean Connery and the birds
KOTCS: The saucer scene.

 

Raiders: The opening sequence through the Peruvian jungle, up to escaping in Jock's plane.
TOD: Rope bridge sequence
Last Crusade: Rat tunnel
KOTCS: ant scene

 

Raiders: When Indy says "Snakes. Why did it have to be snakes?" (corny, I know, but it still is my favorite)
Temple: The part when the kids come back to their homes.
Crusade: When Indy's dad says the part about how he finds that when he sits down to think, then the answer presents itself, and then the secret entrance/escape opens up. Then Indy falls down the stairs.
I havent watched Skull yet, so I dont know any of the scenes.

 

Raiders: the truck chase
Temple: The rope bridge scene
Crusade: When Indy rescues his dad from the castle "don't call me junior"
Skull: The opening scene in area 51

 

Raiders: The Basket Chase/The Swordsman Gag
Temple of Doom: The "your a** is mine" look Indy gives the slave-driver before freeing the child-slaves.
The Last Crusade: "Let it go"
KOTCS: The Ant sequence. A brief return to classic Indiana Jones. A no-frills fist-fight with concurrent lines of action and a booming score.

 

ROTLA - The opening of the Ark
TOD - The mine cart chase
TLC - The trials on the way to the Grail Knight
KOTCS - The tomb sequence.

 

Raiders: The Truck Chase

Doom: The Opening Sequence in Shanghai

Crusade: The Ending in which Indy his father and Marcus ride into the sunset

Skull: When they finally reach Akator

 

No, sorry. They're my favorite movies. It took all my will-power to limit it down to just four to each installment.

I really can't pick specific moments from them, especially the two favorites Raiders of the Lost Ark and Indiana Jones and the Last Crusade.

Indiana Jones and the Kingdom of the Crystal Skull: From "get that greaser" to "you gotta get out of the library."
