Challenge February 2017 Fanfic WORD RACE! (IT IS OVER POST YE FINAL COUNTS!)

300 words today and some here replying

 

I totaled up my words...and I think my head just exploded: 2696 Given that in past Word Races I usually set a goal of 200 words a day, this is amazing! The crazy update schedule for my 3 person DDC is apparently pushing my creativity!

 

Okay, with 3 hours of Puppy Bowl cuteness over (frankly, I was disappointed...too much filler, not enough watching puppies run back and forth), I managed 1858 on my Celtic challenge story.
So...Day 1 & 2 = 0
Day 3 = 826
Day 4 = 2120
Day 5 = 1858, for a grand total this month of 4804. I have more time and energy on weekends, so don't know how well I'll do after work tomorrow. Of course, the cat is having his post-dinner nap, so not harassing me, makes it much easier!

Looking over everyone else's scores, it seems everyone else is inspired, too! Keep it up, everyone! Woot woot!

 

mmk, for today i have an additional 1675 words to add to my total, making it: 4718

may not be it for the day, but have other, non-applicable things, i need to do.

 

If I can't count my research on the economic development challenges in Nepal or my finished paper on the gender gap in STEM fields, then no, you can't count your papers.


This weekend was a bit of a bust (I was busy and the muse just wasn't working with me when I actually had time to write). So I only got to 1314, buuuut that is still much more than I expected.

The list has been updated.

Also, daily word counts are totally fine, but I only update totals (I ain't doing no math for no one).

 

1323 new words between yesterday and this morning, for a total of 4661.

 

482 more words translated so far, for a total of 883.

 

I count outlines and footnotes, but nothing else.

 

I generally don't (BUUUUT I also tend to blab in my author's notes) BUT they are part of the fanfic experience, I feel. In what other entertainment medium do you get to really interact with the creator? So I say count them if you want.

 

I finally got a little non-school writing done, currently 930 words.
Woot!

 

So I somehow managed to sit down after my classes, get down 1128 words and finish evil plot bunny, bringing my total to 2442. I never would have done that without this race.

Then I realized how depressing my last two pieces were, cried, and started watching The West Wing clips of a certain character on youtube and diary plots have just started gnawing.

 

1191 new words today for a total of 5852.

I find it sooooo much easier when I have a detailed outline. Today was one of those lousy days for me when I felt tired from the moment I woke up this morning, but then all I had to do was to follow the plan for my current main project. I've been trying to work a bit on another fic for which I haven't gone so much into details of the outline, and I wasn't able to write a single word for it.

 

I added 662 words today, on something I'd kinda forgotten about even though I'd had the whole thing in my head.

Current Total: 1,552

does re-writing something count, or is it only the finished product/notes on it?

Nothing to report so far. I remember that I signed up, really I do!

 

Worked on some things and had A LOT of Pepsi Max - I'm shaking, hyper and my word count is 7002. I wish I didn't need to sleep, because I feel like I could write until I would drop dead. Literally. Maybe the need for sleep is saving my life.

 

I guess if I'm allowing a translation, re-writing should count too.

I got nothing done yesterday, but I did get some pure randomness done today, bringing my total to 3195.

just wish i'd been able to do more today, but things happened.

 

1889 new words today for a total of 7741. (And still, all but 922 of them for the same fic -- it looks like the other one is going to remain on the backburner a while longer.)
