    I hope everyone can make it to the meeting Saturday Feb. 21. @ 6pm. Hopefully I will have our team packets for Relay for Life by then. I've got updated info on the metropolis comic show and also the cape comic con. We'll be discussing fundraiser ideas for Relay and lots of other stuff. I hope everyone is getting back to normal after that crazy ice storm we had.

    It must be world wide, because evryone I know seems to have gotten sick in the past 2 weeks, the UK peoples I know, evryone. [face_hypnotized] I'm the only one here thats not sick, (as of right now) so its sorta boring, LOL. I think they all have something diffrent though. [face_worried] So its like a waiting game on when I'll catch it. (or them, LOL.)

    P.S. - Almost forgot, but sence I most proboly won't make it, I'll just post it here. I might be doing my Jodo Kast costume this year, I'm not for sure yet. But I bought paint here a second ago to try some new methods of paintin'. We used the "sponge" method the first time around :

    [image=http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v225/jodok/Jodo%20Kast%20armor/FullDownload590.jpg]

    But I'm going to try a "layered" method this time around, and do alot less "battle damage" than the armor in tha picture. I don't know what to do about the gauntlets though. I purchased the same color a bit ago to test out, but I've got a diffrent color in mind to use for any of the new stuff. So if I used a diffrent color, the gauntlets wouldn't match any of the other stuff. And I'd hate to hafe to take them apart, sand them,etc. to repaint them. (But then I could also use the new layered method and do some further modifications.) So I don't know....I'm stuck. [face_laugh] :oops:

    Oh, the new color I found is a closer match to this orange :

    [image=http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v225/jodok/Jodo%20Kast%20armor/JK02.jpg]
    [image=http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v225/jodok/Jodo%20Kast%20armor/Kastholster2.jpg]

    The bad thing is that the colors change on evry page of the Twin Engines of Destruction comic. Its common beleif the markers used may have been scented, and the artists couldn't resist sniffing them. [face_laugh] :p

    They even made the chest logo go from red to blue and back and forth, LOL. :

    Holy Crap! AMAZING! When you get around to making the Jetpack, Let me know, I need to make one too. I'm not too sure on parts and stuff. That costume is gonna be killer! Love it!

    LOL, thanks! The jetpack is going to be the hardest part, no matter how I do it....I don't think I'm up to building one, which would be hard enough, but painting one is a task in itself. Kast's pack isn't much diffrent than what Fett (Fetts..) uses, but the paint is gonna be hard to match and weather. :

    [image=http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v225/jodok/Jodo%20Kast%20armor/helmetback.jpg]

    I'd hafe to add the fins to the rocket as well, which is simple enough, but painting the thing is gonna be a nightmare, LOL!

    I also picked up one of those Clone Trooper voice changers last night, I see alot of people modifying them to look near perfect, so I thought I'd pick one up while I had a chance to do so, to toy around with. :p

    Oh hey, how'd the meeting go? LOL!

    The meeting was good. We talked about our next adventure which is Relay For Life. If you wanna be on the team just let us know. We are going to do a couple of group fundraiser between now and june. The night of the relay we are going to have lots of activities going on there. We are going to set up a table at the Metropolis Comic show which is March 14-15, i dont know how many of the guys are going to be wearing costumes, or what costumes they will wear.

    Exactly! The only time I think I would of bought one (I didn't know about it at the time...) was when Master Replicas went out of the SW liscense, and with a special code or something you could get the Clone Helmets for like $160 or so. 8-}

    I did however just draw this up last night for Cold Weather Gear Rex from the CW cartoon, LOL.

    [image=http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v225/jodok/Clone%20Trooper/Cold%20Rex/2-27-09A.jpg]

    I need to scale it down like 1.5 or 2 inches. [face_hypnotized]

    That's an awesome idea! I loved that design when I saw that episode of Clone Wars. Wonderful idea! I guess it's because I love Hoth and the Tauntauns and Snowtroopers.

    Thanks! :D I wish they'd play that CW episode again....

    In other news, I painted zee scrapin' peicin' von da armor. :

    [image=http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v225/jodok/Jodo%20Kast%20armor/TEOD/3-01-09A.jpg]

    I based the weathering marks on some of the marks seen in this pic. I'll obviously forego the "zig zags", I just wanted to see what they'd look like, and if they'd even work in a design like that. :

    [image=http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v225/jodok/Jodo%20Kast%20armor/Kast1.jpg]

    I think there might be just a little bit to much black, but I'm happy with it. Considering its a test peice. :p

    I never was good at weathering and Battle damaging armor. I always make it look like a Bird flew over and crapped on it. LOL, but true....

    LOL! I was sorta worried that mine would also look like poo, it's why I decided to do the black mist first before uncovering the mask. That way at least the bird poo would be solid silver. and not have those little black specs in it. [face_laugh]

    Ohhh...sounds like a repainting project might be coming. :p Oh! But hey, if you where ever going to weather yours, the silver would be a great base to do so. :D ;)

    For whatever reason, my silver isn't sticking to the sintra, LOL. So where I had silver spots, I now have white spots of sintra. So I picked up some primer, and some *new* silver to see what we can do about that...Speaking of which, I'm gonna go find another scrap peice of sintra to *mess up*. LOL.

    Automotive paint was used on my mando, it stuck pretty goood. I can even heat it up and mold it after it was painted.. Not too bad, just has some scratches.

    When we did my first Jodo Kast (For Celebration 3), one of our paints wouldn't even take to the sintra, it would buckle on contact. [face_hypnotized] The first coats of primer are on, but I'm gonna get some sand paper and try sanding another scrap peice I have to see that'll slove it.

    I've been trying to decide how/what I'm going to do...It's mind boggling when I think about it. I don't know what I should do first/buy. Joker costume...Jodo Kast...Joker costume...Jodo Kast! [face_laugh] :p Frakkin' costumes....

    No joke. I've been searching for parts to make my gauntlets and Jetpack. Just not sure what to get first. And I'm gonna start upgrading my Batman costume, too. Good times, now if I just had the free time to work on it.
