The Main Banner / Curve / Side Bar / Background are all sliced but I thought it would look better if you could see them altogether.

I like the images but I don't really like the title. I think the most important is "Fanforce", this is a Fanforce banner.
TFN and JC have to be written, of course, but using small fonts.

Technically speaking this isn't the Jedi Council, we simply share the same board system and user database. FanForce is a separate entity altogether, so Jedi Council doesn't have to be on the banner at all. The important pieces of text are TF.N and FanForce.

 

Are former RSAs allowed to enter? I've got a couple of ideas which I wouldn't mind trying out. I won't vote, honest.

Is it really FanForce.Net or is it TheForce.Net (has it is now on the current banner).

WhiteHorse, I really really like that banner! Except I think the green "net" looks a bit out of place... but it's a really nice and unique banner.

 

I agree with Enji, change the green or add it somewhere else in the banner as well.

 

i've choosed the green because it stands out well in a B&W enviroment. Green is also a electronic associated color, so i guess it was the best choice i could think of at the time.

I had one person that suggested to me not to change the color but to put the letters smaller.

I tried it out, but it didn't look as good. For me at least. Do you want me to put that version here also so that you can compare and give oppinions?

About changing the color possibility, to wich color you think would stay better?

Yes, it stands out nicely , but I just think it sort of clashes a bit with the blue in the logo...

I think it would look better if either the logo was green as well, or everything was blue...

ok, will try a blue version of the letters. Cause the logo is has it is, it was not made by me. And i don't know if i can or should change the color of it

Night, thanks! But it was supose to be the final version Won't had more stuff to it has i think it would make it heavy/overcrowed destroying also a bit of the current style. But i'm very glad on your support

Regardless, I think it looks great. The only thing I'm not positive I like is the gradiant on the strip, It seems kind of out of touch with the rest of the banner. I imagine just a cut would look better.

But still, I really really like it.

Here's my entry

I used the Indy forum as a basis, hence the ad holders which I'm never very good at making, and the coding that makes the side column background black, which I don't know how to change, but I figured with such a great logo design, there's really nothing to add, and I'm sure dial up people will like it as well.

Maybe you should use the same font for "net" that is used on "fanforce"
You could also make something different without Anakin and only with the 3d stuff (and maybe with color ?)

Sebulba, you shold work on the ad holders, because the ones present are not even SW related.

Also try editing the html on that page and change the color codes. so that it fits well the banner you made.


Night, i will try alternatives to the left side bar end. It fades to white because thats the intended color for the background. So that it gives a sense of continuety. But i will try has you suggested and post it.

Hi Marcolas, thanks on the compliment. The .NET was in a different color and font so that it wont be confused has being part of the logo. But i can also work on a post with your suggestion, to show how it will look.
"Without anakin"? You mean having the same, with color, just with the diference that anakin is not there, or you have any suggestion on what should be in replacement of him? (i can also work on that suggestion, altough it completly changes the current "look/style/felling" of the banner i was persuing.)

On all the experiences i've made I still like the original best.

 

WhiteHorse, I really like where you're going with your idea. It's unique, it's creative, and it's appealing. Like everyone else suggested, work on the .NET (maybe fill the text with a solid colour or a gradient?). Just keep working on it.

Sebulba-X, I love the simplistic approach. It still needs a little more though. Possible something that hints at what FanForce is about (like having SW posters from different countries in the background).

lol...as I said in my post, I'm not very good at making ad holders, so I haven't, nor do I understand the board html to change colors.

You're right though...it could probably use a pinch of something that's actually Star Wars...if I have time I'll try to add something.
