As inspired by Tim, who then inspired Spike, who then inspired me - whose up for a mini meet in Manchester to go see some of the wonderful films being released this year?

Depends on what when and where but I'm up for it if I can escape from home and the movie interests me.

    Oh blimey!

Well, the idea is that we go see whatever people want to see, so Master-F why don't you pick out a film you fancy and then we'll organise time etc.

Would people prefer the Printworks or somewhere out of town, i.e. Showcase on Hyde Road?

btw, I'm off on hols from tomorrow - back on 13th July so feel free to discuss and organise whilst I'm away ;)

I can make it to the Printworks no problem (and it's a good cinema), but for me I'd need to get back to Southport and the last train on a Sat leaves Manchester (Piccadilly) at 10:35pm. Not too bad. Don't worry about me though, it would be good to see Manchester people, but I won't mess up plans because of my travel restrictions.

I'd be up for food before/after depending on times, and I'd recommend Waggamamma's after my visit to London, but I'll eat any type as long as there is veggie choice.

Printworks would be best overall but I can do Showcase as well..

I'd struggle to actually commit to anything at this point in time plus the fact that theres only really POTC that i want to watch ATM and will be doing so with the missus makes me a bit of a damp squib.

If shows and times are put forwards I'd be able to let you know if I can make it but ATM I'd struggle with much else.

Put any suggestions forwards and I''l say yay or nay.

If I commit I'll be there though.

Printworks is fine with me. As for food, I don't know if it's still as good, I've not been in ages but the Dutch Pancake House is well worth a visit

Have to be honest, from looking around most of the films we are excited about (or appear to be excited about) are not coming out until next year, i.e. Spiderman 3, Transformers.

I do find that hard to believe - there must be something coming out, if not now, then certainly around October/November time.

Thought I'd bump this thread up since we where talking about doing some more cinemeets this year, could have started a new thread but we have this one and that one too, I thought not :p
So is there any films anyone wants to see?

I'm guessing we should do more film meets since it looks like we wont be having any NW curry nights.

Sorry guys, was a little busy for a while. Coz, I am still up for a curry meet btw - it's just a matter of us all going down to Rusholme. I could go see when I am off on Mondays and scout out the places.

As for films, I am up for most - "Letters" sounds interesting and I still want to see Hot Fuzz. I just got a little sidetracked over last week or two. This year will also be quite a big one films wise - lots of sequels (Spidey/Pirates/etc) and return of old favourites (Turtles/Transformers) and some new ones that look good - 300 etc.
I am up for seeing any of these with you guys :D
