FF-UK:South Xmas Party Trip!!!

I'm not aware of anyone else either, which is why I made a thread about the meet in the main uk boards in case there's someone who posts there but not here.

 

Load of stick in the muds in this area. Bet if this was farming or football we'd have plenty who're interested! Sorry about my rant, but I had to get it off my chest. Anyway, tried advertising in the shops or libraries? And are these do's open to all fans of sci-fi/fantasy, not just SW fans?

 

Yes, we have a poster which is in a thread down her for people to put up. There are now a few in bedford, but i dont believe any other regions that have used it.

The poster and the meets are aimed at any sci-fi fans. Collectormania obviously incorporates a variety of interests and our xmas and film meets and not SW based at all.


Back to this meet, is there anyone else interested in coming?

And a sci-fi shop in Broadstairs has a bunch of posters.




I might possibly attend this meet. But since I'm likely to attend Empire Day it might be hard to do this one aswell.

 

When I get my printer I'll post some around the uni. I might know a few people who might be interested.

So when is this meet again? Sorry, I've completely forgotten.

Portsmouth Meet: 9th December, 12:45 at Portsmouth & Southsea station

Not really. It's a place that everyone can get to easily and we can make sure that everyone has turned up before moving on to somewhere else.

Is anyone at all interested/able to have an MK and northern-south ( ) xmas meet?

I thought we'd combined the two as it's so close to christmas.

 

I might be able to get at least one other person to come to the meet. I don't know if he's a SW fan though, be he definitely is a Sci-/Fi/Fantasy fan. He also lives in Portsmouth. Interested? Also, like me, why not go and advertise on other forums? For example, this guy I'm thinking about is a Masters of the Universe fan who belongs to a MOTU forum I visit.

 

Why didn't I think of posting this on forums?

Edit: have just posted a thread about us on the Portsmouth Uni RPG society boards.

 

I've just remembered that I have a "kind of" E-mail pen-pal who lives in Portsmouth. I'll contact her as well.

Also, any of you belong to LOTR, Marvel, or any similar Sci-Fi/Fantasy forums? Know of anyone on those forums who lives either in or within easy commuting distance of Portsmouth? Not only can you do an advert thread on the forums, but you can PM anyone directly who you think might be more likely to be interested.

 

I don't think I can do another meet in MK before the end of the year. All my weekends are taken between now and Xmas. Perhaps we could do something in MK early in January?

 

A new year meet then? Before the MK Xmas Fair is taken down?

 

That would have to be the New Year weekend then as the Xmas display in Middleton Hall finishes on 3 January.
