Average temperatures in Las Vegas in November are 70°F high / 35°F low according to a quick Google search. That's better than June through August when the average high is over 100°F. They're trying to avoid the summer desert heat.

Also, the Las Vegas race is actually on Saturday night local time, not Sunday night like other night races. This is due to being so far west in time zones, to ensure that the whole world can watch on the weekend. If it were Sunday night, Europe and Asia would be watching the race at work on Monday.

lewis barely into Q3, george barely out. great run for mclaren so far, both cars through. hopefully a sign of a bounce back.

Leclerc in pole position on Sunday. I have said that many times and then been disappointed during the race, but we'll see.

It's weird that Sunday's Grand Prix race positions were already determined today, and that tomorrow's sprint has no bearing on it.

Well, at least Leclerc was on the podium, and at least Verstappen didn’t win. Good job by Perez.

Race organizers massively screwed up letting the media into the pit lane before the race was over. Ocon nearly ran over a bunch of them through no fault of his own.

Last week we had Verstappen whining to the team that a safety car made him lose and let his own teammate Perez win. Amazingly, team manager Horner basically said "yes, it's too bad that happened to you." Nice of Red Bull to be so supportive of Perez too. And then later in interviews we had Verstappen calling Russell a "di**head" and a "princess". Wonder what he and the team have in store for us this weekend.

Aston Martin is clearly doing better with their cars this year. Still, imagine how well Alonso would probably do in one of the current Red Bull cars.

didn't have a chance to see it yet, but it sounds like alonso was under zero pressure for most of the race behind the red bulls. not sure how ferrari and merc are allowing that to happen.

another woeful showing for mclaren, smh.

Just saw the same post on Facebook and cane here to post it.

Firstly, it's a terrible situation and I hope for the best outcome for those people affected by the massive flooding.

Secondary to that, I hope they reschedule the GP to later in the season instead of just canceling it as I'd really hate to lose Imola altogether.

Just a few more hours to Monaco.

It can be boring and perfunctory, but I do enjoy the tradition of waking up, turning on the tv, and watching racing in Monaco to get me primed for the best single day in auto-racing of the year.

By the time Monaco is over, breakfast will be done, and I'll be able to get in a bike ride before lunch and Indy starts.

    Then dinner with the 600.

One year, I should try to have a culinary theme to tie in with each event.

Alonso radio says rain coming in a few minutes. Hopefully makes for an exciting finish.

Other than Verstappen winning predictably after getting a big lead, it was a good race to watch. The rain did add some tension to it too. Good job by Alonso again, and by Ocon.

Tsunoda was seriously ticked off towards the end there.

    Nice to see some passion.

another solid win for max, and another uneventful (no safety cars/dnfs, etc) race. was bummed to see mclaren + gasly not able to capitalize on their season-best qualifying.

great drives from hamilton and zhou.
