All I can think is - nice going Obi - Wan! He's good at screwing things up in all realities:mad:

So Anakin was going to die peacefully, soon to be joined by Padme, instead he's confined to the equivalent of a mental institution for the rest of his days? Almost seems more peaceful to be Darth Vader. I know Obi - Wan loves him but gosh he sure screwed him over.

It's almost as if Anakin lived out the same fate just under different circumstances. He wasn't confined to the suit, but to the cell. Padme still died of a broken heart and never got to raise her children. One good thing was that the children got to have a more peaceful upbringing. Obi-Wan bore the brunt of much sorrow over his lifetime with what happened. I hated seeing Anakin that way, though it was fitting for the story itself. It was beautifully written and so sad. I cried pretty much the entire time. Wonderful job!

    Gah! Aniiiiiii! *huge snuggle*

This was beautiful. I almost cried at the end, with Ani all huddled up and Obi so sad...

    leia_naberrie Good to know. ;)

obsessedwithSW I admit, writing that hurt. In a good way, of course.

VA_Parky I hate it when the muse refuses a happy ending, but what are you gonna do? :_|

KELIA The silver lining, I suppose.

    Daenarrah Thank you. [face_blush]

Erised_Star It's sort of like the road to hell being paved with good intentions. :_|

    Golden_Jedi I'm glad I fooled you. [face_mischief]

DarthVaderette I've considered writing that visit in a follow-up vignette. If I do so, I'd post it in this thread. :)

Anakin_Panda For ME, that was the saddest part. Thanks for reading!

Wow. This was beautifully written and very touching. Not a lot of fics actually manage to make me tear up, but this was such a wonderful insight into Anakin's character and I felt for him so much.

    Very, very well done.

Wonderful Story! It was touching to see Anakin behave the way he did, too bad he didn't do something like this in Cannon would have given Episode III a happier ending.

This is a great fic, and you are a very talented writer! :D

I'm so happy this story was "upped" because I don't think I ever read the ending.

I can't cry at this one because it has gone beyond mere tears. It's so darn painful that it almost makes one numb.

Anakin may have been better off dead as he planned, in hindsight. He's so broken - what a Jedi he could have been had he grown up, resisted Palpy, etc.

Poor Obi-Wan, burdened by grief and sorrow - gah!

Maybe I'll have a good cry later on when it really hits me.

How dare you do this to me! I read 'Romeo and Juliet' in one sitting the other day, and thought it was beautiful. Now you write this, and I'm almost moved to tears! How???

That was so beautiful! So, so, so, so.. etc. Beautiful! Yes, it was heartwrenchingly heartbreakingly tragic, but I loved it!

    Bravo! =D= =D= =D=

    *sniff* but so sad! *sob*
