TNG, but DS9 became excellent once they got Worf and the Defiant.

Yes, DS9 was just about equal with TNG for me. Is anyone looking forward to Enterprise? I can't wait!

Here is my order, including Enterprise, even though I have not seen one episode!! :)

    1) TNG
    2) DS9
    3) Enterprise
    4) Voyager
    5) TOS

DS9 had great, early character development. It took much much more time for Voyager to reach that point.

    I miss Bashir, Sisko, and O'Brien :(

Yes, I miss them also, I never got into Voyager. I agree with all the 'Voyager' sucked arguments. There was no evolution of the characters, plot, villians, races, etc . . .

Oh please, while Voyager didn't have it in the beginning, that changed when DS9 ended; most of the good writers moved over to Voyager. The final episode made me cry.

Well, I'm afraid I have completely the oposite opinion to you guys.

For me character development is an important factor in a story, but it is not the MOST important. I consider the most important factor is the events and action that takes place in a story. That's why I like Voyager over DS9. Whilst DS9 was very big on character development and is very closely focused on their lives, it lacked action in many episodes. It didn't effectively make use of the setting they were in - SPACE. DS9 could quite easily have all the story's etc transfered to Earth because most of the time the fact that they were in space was often irrelevant. Personally, I don't care if O'Brien enjoys playing darts with Bashir. If I wanted a soap opera (which is essentially what DS9 is) then I'd watch neighbours!!!!

Also, despite the strong focus on the characters, I found most of them to be either incredibly boring and bland or annoying. Quark is a good character, he is funny, smarmy and is a good old scheming crook. His relationship with Odo is always fun to watch (though Odo on his own is nothing). O'Brien is also a good character at times. My interest in the other characters is negligible.

Kira - How annoying can one person be?
Jake - Hmmm, must have missed the turning on the way to Dawsons Creek.
Sisko - This man cannot act to save his life and-the-way-he-speaks-when-he-shouts-is-in-cre-dib-ly-an-noy-ing.
Bashir - *YAWN* " I love Dax in secret" Do you? That's nice.
Jadsia - "Hello, I am the same character as Major Kira, the strong outgoing warrior female, with a sensitive side."
    The Negas - WTF!!!!

Voyager on the other hand has the winning formula that TNG had, ADVENTURES FLYING AROUND THE GALAXY (as a pose to staying on a space station while people socialise). That's what Star Trek is all about, IMO. Every story has a new adventure somewhere in space where the whole crew find themselves in trouble and meet new worlds and new civilisations. It works for TNG and Stargate SG-1 (probably many others as well) and it also works to a slightly lesser degree in voyager. TNG is my favorite though. It takes the best points from DS9 and Voyager (character AND plot development) and but does it ten times better. All of the characters are cool, (Picard, Data, Riker Worf etc) and there's alway's a good storyline; not "Jullian I can't believe it, I've got to work the night shift and Keko's visiting Risa 4. Could you look after Molly for me?".

Okay, I could continue, but I think I'll stop there. Of course I'm not trying to disrespect YOUR views, I'm merely stating why I don't like DS9 and why I think Voyager is MUCH better.

Barns - the fat Jedi. "Wait up Obi-Wan, I'll help you out in just a second. turns to MacDonalds boy Large Big Mac meal with a strawberry shake, and hurry! My friend needs me".

Next Generation was cool, and Voyager comes second. I hated DS9 the most, it seemed boring.

heh, I wasn't even alive when the original ST was finished, yet it's my fav. Why? I like humor, which I, Mudd, and Trouble with Tribbles are great for. So call me odd, I'm not changing my opinion.
Let's see, if I put them in order, it would be... 1)ST 2)Voyager 3)DS9 4)TNG

I rank them in this order:

    1) The Next Generation

    2) Tie: The Original Series & Deep Space Nine

    3) Voyager

Oh, and while I haven't seen an episode of it, The Animated Adventures should've been in the poll.

Although I preferred the Classic crew over the NG, I simply have to vote for the TNG, if not for any other reason than for the episode "Best of the Both Worlds". Oh, and IMHO DS9 and Voyager sucked.

Star Trek: The Next Generation #1
Star Trek: The Original Series #2
Star Trek: Deep Space Nine #3
    Star Trek Voyager #4

I love TNG, the way the show proceeded with story & characters made me become a fan. The first Season was my favorite.

Deep Space Nine was ok, but could of been much better, the Pilot of the show "sucked", but the rest of the episodes started to get good, especially my favorite episode "Little Green Men". I missed most of the last season, cause I drifted away from the show, watching other programs.

Voyager at first was very good, I loved the first season, and second..but the last few seasons begun to get really "lame", and the show was getting nowhere. I totally missed the last two seasons, cause my interest begun to drift into the realm of "Star Wars", and Episode 1. I believe half of the audience drifted away as well, cause the show's episodes just did'nt work for me.

Enterprise, the next show in the franchise, well..I hope it's like TNG, with a mix of the classic show, cause if it's a reharsh of DS9 and Voyager blended together, I'm not gonna watch it, or be interested in it..I'll stick with Star Wars.

    I liked:
    1) TNG- It got me into sci-fi
    2) Voyager- Fun and exciting, but I hated the idea of a girl captain at first.
    3) TOS- makes me laugh at the background
    4) DS9- is a soap opera, got really stupid with all the religion stuff.

#1 DS9 - But only after the 3rd season. The war angle was a breath of fresh air in a stagnating series. Good stuff! GO DEFIANT, GO!

    #2 TNG - What can I say, Sci-Fi at it's best!

#3 VOY - I can't see where the problem, it has picked up in the end!

#4 TOS - Great, but I cant stand the costumes.

ENTERPRISE has a lot of potential!

Did anyone see the segment on Entertainment Tonight concerning Enterprise?

If you did, do you think that what you have seen so far could change your opinion, and make this your favourite series?

I liked Voyager because it was more in tune with the original series and TGN. Way out in deep space far away from the allmighty Federation. So was DS9 I guess but the whole Space station thing bored the h*ll out of me.
