For those who like Star Trek, what is your fav series?

The only one I ever really got into was Voyager. I watched it after TPM was released, but before they started Episode II. There wasn't much going on in the world of Star Wars then.

 

I liked them all. I guess its because I'm such a die-hard Star Trek fan.
But I must admit to liking DS9 a little more over the other series. Sisko is my favorite star trek captain over Kirk, Picard, and Janeway and I miss the whole group dynamic that the crew of DS9 had. They weren't already formed like TOS or TNG and their relationships were better developed than those of the Voyager crew.
In defense of Voyager, the series had a rough start but there are alot of good episodes where the writers explored important issues in intriquing thought provoking ways. This being the underlying point of Star Trek as Roddenberry envisioned it. Kate Mulgrew did an excellent job as Kathryn Janeway and of course there is the ever loveable Doctor.
Lastly I would just like to say TOS produced some very good episodes exploring touchy issues for its time and though the short skirts worn by Uhuru and Nurse Chapel annoy me to no end, I will always enjoy watching the series in reruns. May Bones continually irritate Spock and Kirk never give up the ladies or the captain's chair in our imaginations. As for TNG, like Picard said, "Make it so!"
Lets hope Enterprise brings us a whole new group of equally interesting characters and places irrespective of ships or stations.

I can't comment on Enterprise yet, except that I hate the ship's design, and I just plain hate Voyager.

 

DS9

 

DS9 is my favorite Trek so far. Risk-taking, original series that was the most hard-hitting of any Trek imo.

Original Trek is second for me; TNG would have been, except I love the weirdness in the old series. The bland, preachy PC world that was often represented in TNG was a bit of a turn-off.

We'll see about Enterprise.


Voyager? Bah...

 

I must say, I don't like ST, but I've seen at least a couple of eps from each series, and the one I found most interesting was one from TNG.

 

TOS for me. I think In its best episodes The original series had everything you could possibly want. All of the other shows may have never had as bad an episode as TOS (spock's Brain) but neither did they have as good an episode (such as Journey to Babel, Balance of Terror etc.)

Enterprise has me hooked though. I'm really liking this show.

After seeing a few episodes of Enterprise, I already like it much more than Voyager. Not quite as good as the other series, though.

 

I love TNG, but until recently, we didn't get it through our cable network. And now that we get it, I am stuck at college and cannot watch it anyway!

I dearly love DS9 too, though. I didn't like the final episode much, but nobody asked me!

How could someone not like Enterprise?

DS9 was really good, that would be my second favorite. I've liked every series though, I watch them all if I'm bored and have nothing else to do.

I wish they do a series on Section 31

 

I love Enterprise and TNG, but haven't seen enough of VGR or DS9 to vote on them. I have to stick up for TOS, though. I just got into Trek a few years ago, at the age of thirteen, with my parents introducing me to TOS. Although the other series's are better, they lack the most importnat factor: Spock/McCoy moments. It's all about epdisode 43, "Bread and Circuses," when Spock and McCoy are together in prison, each worrying about Kirk in his own way. Spock betrays the slightest bit of emotion and McCoy pounces on it. They are close for almost half a second (a record!) then an argument escalates, finally ending with a tender moment: "I know, Spock. I'm worried about Jim, too." *sigh* That's got to be one of my favorite moments in all of Star Trek. *notices that she just rambled on for a very long time and blushes*

 

Haven't seen too much of the latest series.

I like TNG, Voyager and DS9. I hate enterprise. You forgot to include the animated series!

 

It's a toss between TOS and TNG for me.

I'd probably go for TNG, if only because I can relate more to it (having seen it before any other Star Trek series).

 

Either TNG or DS9. Voyager I could not get into or enjoy as much.
