Oceania Triple Force Friday in Australia.

Hi folks.

Anyone know if Toys R Us or anyone else going to do a midnight sale event for The Force Awakens toy launch like they are doing in the U.S. / Europe etc?

Am in Sydney.

 

I had a look at the Toys R Us website and did find a count down clock for 4th September so it looks like we might be getting it in Australia. Not sure if all are doing it or select stores though.

 

I hope my Perth store is doing something.

 

Ah cool, I looked around on there and couldn't find anything - must have just gone up?

 

Had to go into the category for SW to find it… though I wonder if all are doing it or if just a few out of the chain. Hopefully everyone gets a chance to be a part of it.

EDIT: I kinda wonder if they have a new line of model kits coming out too. I want one of those X-Wings.

 

Phoned my Perth Toys 'R' Us store, they aren't doing a midnight madness sale on the Friday. However, from Saturday (5th) on, they will have TFW merchandise available. I'm already saving money but I won't be getting all the 3 3/4 figures, maybe Finn, Poe & Kylo. I'll be double checking the day before I go to make sure it's still on.

Thanks for posting this. Glad to see WA well represented and my local store is listed. I wonder what the Star Wars poster will look like.

 

I'm also wondering how much the basic 3 3/4 figures will retail for.

 

I'm wondering if I can get my hands on the Stormtrooper nerf guns I want.

Me. Going to Moore Park to get the Nerf Guns.

 

The Nerd Guns look amazing, I'm gonna grab all the figures and probably a TIE fighter and X-Wing.

 

Yeah I imagine that people want the figures.

Moore Park will be the one I would go to if I was able to go. I be curious to know if we be getting the remote control BB-8.

 

There are two versions right? A hasbro one and the amazing Sphero one.

The Sphero one is $150 in the U.S. So probably like $200+ here.

I think I'm going to Bankstown, for some reason I thought it was midnight Friday but it's Thursday midnight.

 

The Sphero one looks like is has more features and functions so I might look towards that one and I hope that we will get that here.

 

Still no news on Australian prices. With the Australian dollar so low at the moment, I hope we don't get screwed over

Just got home from Bankstown Force Friday, a smallish crowd of about 30-40 people but a fun celebration like atmosphere.

Unfortunately the stock of figures didn't last long, I missed out on Finn/Rey and Kylo

Actually there was acres of Lego and Nerf guns and not a lot else, don't expect to find the Sphero BB8 or any of the black series figures.
