JCC Free The Colander (and other religious clothing items)

    The burka was banned in the UK this week. It was banned in the Netherlands three years ago, even though at that time there were no more than 150 people wearing burkas.
    And most of them were Dutch women who had converted to Islam.

    And now, to add insult to injury, a Dutch court ruled that you can't wear a colander on your passport photo.

    "Pastafarianism is not a religion, and therefore practicioners cannot wear kitchen equipment in official photographs".

    The prosecutor claims this ruling conflicts with the right to freedom of religion.

    Pretty sure the burka hasn't yet been banned in the UK. Boris Johnson wrote a newspaper column calling for it to be banned but no law has been passed as Parliament isn't in session now.

    Colanders are symbols of slavery and female oppression, and should therefore be banned.

    Ohhh I thought it had already been settled. Well in that case; DON'T DO IT! For the colander.
