This isn't fan fiction related, but I have had notes in a class that have consistent described a transient loss of consciousness as feinting. While it might confuse whoever's around, I'm not really sure how effective this tactic is.

 

It could be a wronski feint... which causes fainting

I'm actually not a Freudian... I understand his works, appreciate some of it, but it's mostly bosh to me. I follow Maslow, Erickson, and such... but the whole phases of Freud were a little too much for me

 

The funniest misspelled word I seen lately was from a HP fanfic. "The Dork Lord bellowed at his followers-" LOL, I think they were trying say 'Dark Lord' but that mistake could have been intentional...

That and 'the otherworlds' somehow became 'TEH OTTERWORLDS'.

I have misspelled so many things in my life ... I really can't come up with anything at the moment.
I know "Qui-Gon" was once "Quee Gun".
(Because I added Danni Quee's last name into my dictionary, and it automatically changed it.. teehee.)

"Mace Windu" has been SOO many things. But I've made the same "Windex" mistake, LOL!

"Luke" was once "Luuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuke" because my cat distracted me... LOL.

I'm going through alot of misspelled words at the moment - but it's not my fault - the i and k keys on my keyboard are acting up...(they actually behaved themselves that time.)

 

Okay, so my thesaurus wants to substitute CorSec with corset:

Captain Typo is one of the lesser superheros. He spent his entire life wanting to become one of the Super Friends, but they never let him join. Apparently, Padmé found him attractive. It was his only consolation.

I have caught myself referring to Typho as "Typo" in one of my fics.

 

And speaking of bizarre romantic trysts:

When the ceremony was over, the man bade them goodbye, having sensed the broom's eagerness to be alone with his wife.

So, I guess Padme was REALLY swept off her feet.

 

It's funny when typos spell a word that is grammatically correct so MS word doesn't pick up on it being misspelled word or as being the wrong grammar. In one of my latest stories, I informed the reader that Anakin didn't want to loose Padme as opposed to he didn't wish to lose her.

I found it rather funny... Padme's his wife, not slave... or love slave.

That one's got me a few times, as well. Fortuantely, I think I've corrected all of those now.....

 

Just to clarify a couple things mentioned on the first page . . .

I was the one who screwed up the "Do you know how weird it is to have your brother and your boyfriend layed by the same 16-year-old girl?"

And it was "Darkness slowly crapped over the galaxy". Somewhere I've got a whole list of these, several of them my own.

Somehow it makes it worse that it was 'slowly'.
