DRL is hitting hard atm. Otherwise fine here, we're all fine. How are you?

 

Decent. Work is going steadily, have a professional paper to plan and write for a presentation in November.

I'm looking forward to when we can kick things off here again into full swing

 

Bravo is at the Santa Fe Renaissance at the mo', going by the photos.

Everybody seems fine, healthwise.

17 years ago today, I became a JCer. Wow. Kind of feels good.

I got to all tags.

Sorry for the big delay. The transition from old job to new job didn't quite go as smooth as planned with DRL---then family trip---then more DRL after trip. But, all done now. So, posts are in!

 

I will be off-and-on this week. I'm under a tight timeline to get stuff ready before a big meeting Sunday. I should be able to get online at least once this week before Friday, however.

Still feels sooooo good to be back on the boards.

 

I have seen the tags, I have not disappeared, I am mentally planning out responses, but I am also working toward transitioning from hourly employment into salaried employment (in a new version of my same position in my same department where I've been for three years) and so things have been a bit crazy. But I have not forgotten about this, most of the tabs I have up are for responding to the tags. But I've got some tricky stuff to respond to.

I will be online tomorrow (Saturday) night. I've been doing a lot work from home this week to make up for the drop in hours next week because of the holidays. Sorry I've been slightly MIA this week, just work & timing because of the holidays.

 

I was just chatting with GV ( @galactic-vagabond422 ) over PM and it reminded me of something....

As a heads-up, we will be returning to the Darkest Night before the end of December, come hell or high water. While I've enjoyed our time on planet, it was always meant as a introductory to better & bigger things. And while DRL has slowed that process considerably over the last year, I still have my game notes when I launched the game and I've been starring at it with an unfulfilled hunger to move on into those plot points I spelled out while making the game.

 

@Bravo - Only just spotted your hospital post, and sent a prayer.

What has been going on, if I may ask?

 

Our daughter is still in the hospital, since the Wednesday before Thanksgiving. This is day 5 1/2.

She had an ear infection, pneumonia, and RSV when she was admitted last Wednesday. Saturday morning she developed secondary (bacteria) pneumonia. We were supposed to be discharged Saturday morning, but that has been extended until tomorrow morning or Wednesday morning depending on several milestones she has to meet to reach discharge.

We got out of the hospital last Wednesday, after 8 days. Then our daughter got sick with the stomach flu over the weekend. The poor little girl has seeming been hit with everything this past two weeks. We've been getting our house back in order and our church is helping us with meals to get us back on our feet. We have doctor appointments and work to get back to this upcoming week, but alas, we are home. Over this week, I'll begin getting online to catch up.
