do we know how long each episode is going to be? ive not been following it

 

Longer than usual. I think all around 75 minutes each.

 

They’ve made statements that each episode is lile a movie. I wouldn’t be surprised if the finale ended up being 2 hours.

 

If any one episode was going to be close to two hours, then I don't see why HBO wouldn't split that one episode into two separate ones for the sole purpose of getting a person to subscribe to their service as long as possible.

I like what Diggy said about the 75 minute mark. The season 7 series finale was 1 hr 20 min so while I hope most season 8 episodes are over an hour, I don't expect any to go longer than 1.5 hours.

 

i have a distinct feeling that was a "shot just for the trailer" trailer as opposed to actual footage from an episode. It seemed a little too perfectly timed with a perfectly composed ice seeping in climax as opposed to a piece of an episode.

 

Certainly, I got a similar impression. It seemed like it was filmed intentionally to build up hype and didn't seem connected to anything within an episode.

 

7 kingdom, 6 episodes. Whichever 6 kingdoms fall in the 6 episodes will result in the last one standing to take/win the Iron Throne. What kingdoms join together? Which ones will fall apart? I'm definitely getting that bittersweet feeling now.

 

Dorne, the Reach, the Riverlands, the Stormlands, and the Westerlands are already in anarchy just as winter finally came.

(No more Martells or Sand Snakes, no more Tyrells and Highgarden was sacked then abandoned, no more Lannisters in Casterly Rock and it was sacked then abandoned, no more Frey's or Tully's [though who knows what happened to the Red Wedding couple after Arya left, Cat's brother didn't really have leadership skills or a base of power], and who knows about the Stormlands since the deaths of all Baratheons)

The only ones with a functional government are
* Cersei over the Crownlands (who have every reason to turn on her, and her only allies are crazy Euron and lackeys Zombie-Mountain as bodyguard and Dr. Frankenstein as Grand Vizier)
* Euron over the Iron Islands (and his overthrow has been set-up from the beginning with Theon/Yara)
* Jon/Sansa over the North and former Wildlings (really a joint rulership, and now subservient to Daenerys)
* Daenerys over roving bands of Dothraki and Unsullied, somewhere in Westeros, and now nominally the North (plus Dragonstone if that counts)
* Crazy Cousin Robyn Arryn over the Vale (really led by Vale Leading Extra #1, the old guy, now that Littlefinger is dead)

Perhaps the Braavos Bankers, Red Priestess of Volantis, Dany's Ex-BF in Meereen, and the Pentos guy who introduced Dany to Khal Drago and the Dragon Eggs will come back too.

 

that Lena Headey interview is just wonderful. I almost want to cheer for Cersi since she's the only person on the planet doing so!

That Bud Light ad was great cuz there's zero need to actually show footage at this point so, screw it. Murdering the Bug Light Knight is a plus. I hope that's actually how the series ends.
