"HBO's Adaptation of 'GRRM Has No Pages'"
HBO's Struggle for Identity in the Streaming Age and Also Westeros I Guess
HBO's I'm Gonna Git You, Sucka.
Maybe we could even get people to post who actually like GoT and are excited for House of the Dragon... Anyone else?
Not really, but my Hot Pake is ppl's reaction to Season 8 was more dumb than Season 8.
I rewatched the whole thing and while season 8 isn't nearly as good as earlier stuff, it's also not terrible either and people are insane to react so insanely to a TV show.
Yeah, it was an ok ending to the seasons of television that preceded it, which had become something of a different animal than Seasons 1-4.
No, that's probably too long.
I enjoyed the Dance chapters in Fire and Blood. The negative is that there is less material to directly translate to the screen than there was with asoiaf, and the show was at its worst when it tried to do its own thing. The positive is that they aren’t going to be forced to try write their own ending after GRRM decides that he’s never going to finish the story.
oh yeah, well people's reactions to people's reactions was dumber than peoples reactions to season 8 which was more dumb than season 8
No need to overreact.
@VadersLaMent Lammy, it’s your thread mate, and it looks like it’s back in play - you wanna freshen up the title?
Is this a character in the new series
How about I meet you half way and say that I loathe what they did with GOT but I'm looking forward to the Targ show (provided they learn from what worked and what didn't)
Spoilers for the next few books: Jon has sex with and then kills Dany
So this two years away from coming right.I liked half of season 8, even the later episodes had good scenes but become more and more bad, i mean jon snow barely had any lines and poor queen got dark too fast and died in horrible way and has soured me a little on GOT, i haven't watched it since the last episode.
ep 5 was badass
Wait, no to which part?
They should learn from what worked and then do what didn't worked?
I loved the dragon fire on the city and Arya fleeing, yeah most of episode 5 was great, my main issue is with episode 4 and 6, a little with 3 and the ice king. I also think she turned dark maybe too soon.
No I don't want you here. I didn't really read anything you said, I just know I don't want you around in general
After season 4 they moved to Young Hercules quality, but with more sex and violence. And they never recovered.
That makes two of us, but I'm like a genie trapped in a lamp. The JCC is my cage.
I'd love if this thread's primary purpose was to praise the series for what it nailed and for what everyone loved. I'm also optimistic for the new series and it would be cool to discuss. Unfortunately, I feel the majority did not like the decisions made in the end, myself included, and whenever this thread pops up it ends up following the same pattern as the "Star Wars is Bad" thread -- hey here's some exciting news, but forget your news - the prequels are bad, the sequels are bad, downward negative spiral...
Oh good, you can grant wishes then? Make Bacon a mod.
