    Do better? I have the highest score so far, and by a good margin. That's even with the random point deduction for bashing the Feds. ;)

    But yes, see how I could integrate the Attic and the Asiatic in a cohesive whole?

    Yes, but I also deliberately ignored an entire point category that everyone else didn't. I was fighting with one hand tied behind my back on purpose. ;)

    With that in mind, it should really all balance out.

    People are too caught up in the mundane and spiritless world of charts and studies. They forget that rhetoric is an art--there ought to be more verve, more panache, more style!

    I'm very deliberately going to take hits in the evidence category to authentically replicate old school debate. :)

    After all, as ophelia put it, outrageous gimmicks are encouraged. And doesn't mine fit quite along with it? ;)

    Well, I'm not dead yet. I've been trying to set up the next debate for a while here, but I think one of our players is going to be unable to play it out. So, with a bit of a suggestion from our friendly moderator, E_S, we're going to do the second round in US Presidential Debate format.

    This will be easier for all involved, I think. We'll do a two-hour "debate" where I will pepper you all with questions both from my formidable arsenal and from the audience. Scoring will be the same as before. From that debate, we'll declare our Master Debator (lol!).

    I'm targeting next week for this to give you all time to familiarize yourselves with the latest and greatest news. You may also post here on thoughts/questions/etc.

    All,

    Regretfully, I need to give up on running this game as I've had to move on for personal reasons. I'd hate to see this game fade into (greater? :p) obscurity. I'm sure E_S or Mr44 would be happy to consider anyone who is interested in taking over and running the game. I'm not personally married to any of the rules I created so feel free to play with it to make it as fun (or not) as you like. Just let the big dawgs know what that you're interested in taking over and I'm sure they'll give it due consideration.
