Arena Well, I'd Rather Be Dead in Arizona Than Alive in Utah (NHL Discussion, Playoffs and Relocation)

Yeah, I'm sick of the hype too. I just wanna see him play.

 

I've been sayin' that for five years. It seems he can't play 2 games w/o hittin somebody in the head. I don't know why any team would want him.

 

I say this as a Sharks fan: **** Raffi Torres. I've hated him for nearly 10 years now, ever since this hit on Michalek, and certainly never wanted him on my team. It was so disheartening to hear all the cheers as his name was called at the preseason game I went to a few weeks ago. I'm glad that more fans are wising up to what a scumbag he is. It's a shame it had to come like this though with another player down from an illegal hit to the head. 41 games is not long enough and I wish Sharks management continues to keep him sidelined after the suspension until his contract is up. I'd gladly give up the salary cap space if it means he never wears teal again. Even better if he never plays hockey again.

In other tangentially related Sharks news that should surprise no one, Pavelski was named the new captain. So we got that going for us.

 

Torres along with Matt Cooke should've been kicked out of the league some time ago. I love how Torres raised his hands up, feigning innocence after the hit. What an idiot.

 

Haven't watched anything besides the Habs and Leafs opener. Really hectic schedule right now.

...however there's always time for one thing.

Aaaaand Logan Couture broke his fibula in practice yesterday. Great.

 

But Jones has been spectacular so far.

 

I know it's still a really small sample size, but....Arizona has definitely been the biggest surprise up to this point. If Domi and Duclair keep piling up points like crazy, and Smith is actually stable in net, they could be a fun team to watch this season.

 

Domi, Duclair, Eichel, Panarin....all off to better starts than McDavid. Welp.

 

McD is on the worst team. Might have sumpin' ta do wit it.

 

Looks like he's going to get another shutout tonight against the devils!
