    In short, most of the key elements of the story were developed with George. And possibly the most relevant part with regard to this thread is the comment by Pablo that George, with Michael Arndt and others, developed the story to the point where it "evolved... to not resemble the treatment".

    It really does dispel so many of the myths, especially that KK threw out GL's treatment against his wishes. Apparently Lucas was directly involved with moving beyond his own treatment.

    Surprise twist: Lucas betrayed himself!
