Thanks. I'm not worried about anyone kidnapping me, LOL. After all I have the Force on my side. My parents are actually dreading this. That's why I have to remind them every day how greatful I am that they're taking me.

I just told them that I'll most likely be off on my own and that I'm only a call away (on my new SW phone from Cingluar!). It's gonna be so weird to see so many other fans. I'm the only big SW person I know. Every time I even mention it people give me that "Oh no, not again" look.
I'll probably be the person walking around with her face buried in a map and crashing into every one.

 

Does anyone know how many tickets have been sold total to CIII?

Lol...People seem to think I work at the Ranch with Level 7 clearance to the CIA's Nerd-chelon network of C3 info...I have no clue how ticket sales are doing.

lol*2...that said, I seem to recall someone saying (who would know) that ticket sales are way ahead of what C2's was. That's fuzzy 3rd hand knowledge though.

Btw,I guess getting in line at 6 AM will probably guarentee you getting to see one of the shows? I hope so,because 6 AM is early for me the way it is! But it's so worth it.

Think of all the poor bastards that will drink heavy on Friday night and sleep through their 4:30am wake up call.

 

Nothing in life is guaranteed, but if I recall, a large influx of people on C2's Saturday were a combo of people arriving in town that couldn't get off work and the locals going down to see the 'circus'. Sure, there will be diehards in line as soon as the police stop arresting loiters, and while being last in line of 3000...4000...8000 people seems mind boggling, they can fit 3400 at a time in that Ballroom comfortably. And they're doing that 3 times in a row. I imagine the Fire Marshall will be there, but they could herd a bunch more in the back for standing room.

I'm not worried...well, we'll see how my body handles Friday night, but I'm staying with 3 501st guys who're getting their picture taken early Sat, so I'll probably be up regardless.

Awesome! I feel pretty confident I can get in now. And even though I'd like to go to the first show of the day,as long as I get into any of them I'll be happy.

Is anyone organizing a group to start the lineup early? Or are we all just gonna show up and hope for the best?

 

If I had a choice, which I wouldn't want to risk taking, I would want to get into the 3rd show. It would have a higher probability of going over the extended time period. I hope they drop the Q&A session of it too. I don't want to have wait in line to hear retarded questions (an interview format would be cool IMO).

 

I asked Mary Franklin some questions about this event. Her answers are short and in bold below:

- It states that markers for the event will be given out from 6-8am. Is this markers for all 3 screenings? Or are they staggered like the screenings? All 3

- Can friends and family passes be used for this event? yes

- How early will fans be allowed to line up for this? very

- Is there any special consideration for attendees with associate/volunteer/staff badges, or are they in line with everyone else? Like everyone else

- After you receive your marker, are you required to wait in line still, or could you go for coffee or something and report back for your appropriate
time slot (knowing you'd lose your spot in line, but still be guaranteed a seat). Must be in line when the line moves.


Hope this clarifies some things.....

 

Okay..so lets assume some of us will get in line at 5am which I think is a no-brainer. Are there ANY breakfast places open at that time in the morning that we can get something to take to the line?

From what I heard, the convention center/police were pretty vigilant making sure no one was there during the 11pm-4am hours. So I don't think we'll see anyone lining up Friday night.

Hey BrokenYolk, can you ask Mary Franklin whether there will be a seperate line for the GL shows outside, or will they just be grabbing who is in front of the fan club line?

 

brokenyolk.....you da man. Ask her what city ordinance is concerning lining up early and also if these will be seperate lines from the main lines to get into the convention center. The second question is a must know. Thanks.

Hey guys. I was just wondering if non fan-club memebers can get in the fan club line for Lucas if they have a coupon from a member? I'm a member, and I have coupons for non-members to participate in fan-club events. It says that 70% who will get in for each session will be from the fan-club line. I'd like to get a couple non-members in that line with the coupons if I can.

 

yes, as long as they have the F&F coupons they can be in the FC line.

Well, I won't be seeing him. I have a Volunteer Shift on Sat morning. I will be inside the Con around 8:20, so you never know......j/k. I won't ditch my shift. I signed up so I must follow through.

Plus anyone who bought tickets for the Star Wars Galaxies breakfast is getting screwed if they want to see Lucas, because SOE's breakfast is Saturday morning during the line-up time.
