I have a part time casual now although someone announced their retirement today and I am up for her position. We'll see how how I go on that one. ;)

Is it McDonalds or KFC for you?

I'll eat either one if I'm hungry and there's nothing better nearby, but I've been through survival training and learned to eat anything. Honestly, I'd prefer to go to Taco Bell.

How great is Baja Blast Mountain Dew?

I wouldn't know. I'm not overly a fan of Mountain Dew myself; though wouldn't take it to the extremes like Homer Simpson.

Do you ever deliberately drink caffeine at night, whether it's soda or coffee?

Occasionally I'll drink a can of Sprite at night (I don't drink coffee).

What's your LEAST favorite ice cream flavor?

Ice cream? Anything with nuts in it, or a suggestion of nuts!

Probably when I was in Las Vegas with family during the Summertime. I believe the temperature reached upwards of 110 degrees Fahrenheit; although it was a "dry heat", so technically it was slightly more bearable than it would've been where I'm from in New York.

Have you ever done, or considered doing the Polar Bear plunge (swimming in the icy ocean water during Wintertime)?

No and I have absolutely no interest in doing so.

What's the coldest day you've ever experienced in your life?

I went to the snowy mountains for my 40th and it was minus 6C and I hated it. I wanted to see snow for my birthday, we saw it, and yep, that's enough for one lifetime!
(for the record it was 40c here today and a dry heat. 104F - normal for us)

Have you ever decided to go on a cleaning binge and clear out things like a mad person?

(reigniting this thread that's been dormant for a couple of weeks)

It's been a while, but had at least attempted to clean my bedroom in the past like a mad person. I even went so far as renting a local storage unit to house the clutter to let me sort things out. But to be honest I've gotten rather lazy and new clutter has emerged since.

If there's one room in your home that needs a thorough cleaning, what would it be?

Can I answer "all of them"...? :p No, in all seriousness, I'm not exactly a slob, but cleaning often becomes a thing which becomes a necessity, because I've left it far too long and it's gotten away from me. I have a lot of nerd shelves and dusting 'em all can take days. I keep things like my kitchen surfaces and bathroom clean with healthy regularity, but if you took a look at the dust on my desk's top shelf right now... yeah, it's long overdue.

If you had an extreme de-clutter and could only keep one non-essential personal possession in your home, what would it be, and why?

If I had to, I could replace most of my personal stuff, including family pictures, but some of these were custom made and can't be replaced, and some are the same ones that I wore flying in Iraq, Afghanistan, and the Persian Gulf.

I have never really cared for items, but there is one. I have this little snake stuffed animal that my mom bought me when I was like 7. I love it for some reason.

What is your favorite book that has released on the 21st century?

The Girl With The Dragon Tattoo. Originally published in 2005, the author, Stieg Larsson passed away tragically in 2004 but his works were published into a trilogy of novels. Subsequently the novels were developed into live action films, graphic novels, and two more authors would take up the story following the initial trilogy. I'm currently reading The Girl in the Eagle's Talons, written by the third author to have taken up the Lisbeth Salander franchise.

At what time of day do you read (morning, night, during the day, or everything above)?

Ok I'll bite. I wouldn't necessarily say that I have a Green Thumb by any stretch of the imagination, but I do at least plant seeds and grown flowers around my home. I rely more on the natural environment to water them more often (aka rain) than doing it manually, which is likely why I don't get the successful growth as often as I hope.

Do you happen to have a bird feeder by your home, or would want one?

Not persay, I did hang a feeding stick in a tree near my front door and sadly it's still there. Trust me, there are enough birds out front already, the lorikeets are noisy, destructive and down right messy. Between them and the galahs and the corellas, we have more than enough birds! LOL Then there is the magpie who barks like a dog out the front.........very confusing.

Are you looking forward to the Acolyte?

What Star Wars project are you most looking forward to?

The Girl in the Eagle's Talons: A Lisbeth Salander Novel. Yeah, the seventh novel of the franchise that began with The Girl With The Dragon Tattoo. I just finished reading the novel, written the franchise's newest author, Karin Smirnoff. I wouldn't rank it among the top novels featuring the anti-heroin to date, but it had its moments. I've already borrowed my next book to read, Sisters of the Rising Sun, by Heather Morris. I've read her bestselling historical fiction novel, The Tattooist of Auschwitz (soon to be released as an adapted miniseries on Peacock) and I'm looking forward to her latest story.

Are you always fixated on a particular genre of stories to read or vary from book to book (sometimes switch from fiction to historical fiction to non-fiction, etc.)?

Alas, I'm not really a big reader nowadays, but I'll generally gravitate towards subject matter of interest, regardless of its genre. Just because I like Star Wars doesn't mean I automatically like all sci-fi or fantasy (quite the opposite). In years gone by, I've put down a comic book one evening and started a detailed account of an election the next. So I guess with me, it's less about genre, and more about content.

In your experience, do you generally prefer adaptations of books (movie, television, etc.) or the original books themselves?
