    Wonderful!

Though i wonder how effective all of those methods are...we know all (or almost all) of the solo/skywalker clan escaped from them.

EDIT: Y'all are confusing me with the insignia. Is it what I think it is?

Awww - thanks for reading guys. :)

    TSF
Well, the old Muse comes and goes, but at the moment she is stuck on poetry. LOL

    Yoda
LOL I had a bit of trouble deciding which animals and planets scanned correctly. But this is the kind of thing I can work on in my head while I'm doing something else. :)

    Nen Yim
Hi - how's it going? Thanks for reading. :)

    JediTristan
You're right about the Solo/Skywalkers being good at evasion. Hee hee. The icon? PM me about it if you like. :)

    Smuggler
Hi - and thanks for popping in again. :)

    *******

I have an idea for one based on The King's Breakfast. LOL So hopefully the Muse will comply. In the meantime you may like to pop in [link=http://boards.theforce.net/message.asp?topic=19498469&replies=0]here[/link]. This is my first ever contribution to the Saga forum - it's an Obi-Wan poem. I'd love some critique about structure/imagery if you have time. :) Thanks.

    HAHAHAHA. [face_laugh] Tahi, you're a comic genius!

Some of these are a tad bit... naughty. :D

Does it matter that they're naughty? They're still funny. And I like the Palpatine one.

    [face_laugh] =D= :D [face_laugh] Tahi, you've done it again!

Thank the maker for your delightfully twisted Muse.

I absolutely loved the Palpatine one. [face_laugh] I'm sure the people at FIGS would love it as well. Mind if I share it with them? :)

Glad you had a laugh even if it was a naughty one. Too many Brit comedies when I was a kid I'm afraid - it's scarred me for life. :D

    Dev
Glad you liked the Palpy one. :) And thanks for reading.

    Whitey
Hi - how's it going? Yes - of course you can share them at FIGS. What is FIGS BTW? :) Ah yes - I admit my Muse is very twisted and evil. LOL

FIGS stands for the Fantastic Ian (McDiarmid) Gusher's Society. You can imagine they would get a good laugh out of this. They (we) call him God and say anything to do with him is "divine." :p

Ah - I've often wondered what that stood for. Yes - share it with them by all means. Put a link through to if you like - heh heh. ;) (Tahi rubs hands gleefully like Palpy or is it Dr Evil?)

Okely dokely - I don't know where this one came from! But it's been an odd week, so here goes.

    **********
[Based on "If I were king."]

    Dream on
(A wistful but fatalistic kind of poem by an obsessed Star Wars fan)

    I often wish I were a Givin,
Then maths exams would be my thing.

If only I were like Lando,
I'd clean up at the casino.

    If I were Agamarian,
My lavender shorts would look good on.

    And if I were Ithorian,
My pot plants wouldn't look so wan.

If I were a Mara clone,
    I wouldn't need the silicone.

But there again if I were Borsk,
    I probably would be divorced.

    And if I was a Twi'lek chick,
I'd be real cute, but oh so thick.

So I think I'd best remain as me:
    A GFFA wannabe.

Excellent, Tahi :D Very clever and it even had a nice message: be yourself :p I do think you're going to need to issue an apology to Twi'lek's though :p The end was fantastic.

    Great job :)

[Sylvester voice]Heavens to Murgatroyd![/Sylvester voice] ;) Thanks guys.

    Yoda
Yes - poor old Twi'leks are easy targets. I discarded some silly lines like:
    If I were Gamorrean,
I'd put my leather thigh boots on.

    and

    If I were from Alderaan,
I might have had some luck with Han.

But thankfully the Twi'leks came to the rescue. LOL

Yes - be yourself, although I guess in my case there's still a certain wistfulness about what might have been . . . [sigh] :D

    Whitey
    But you are.
Nice to you see you. :)

    Nen Yim
    Hi again, and thanks. :)

    Vongchild
Don't put yourself down! That is an order. Grrr.

Thanks for reading. :) Are you sitting exams at the moment?

    Jedi_Callista
Thanks. :) And thanks for keeping reading them.

    JediTristan
LOL I don't know about that - I don't think the world needs any more mad Kiwis. ;) Thanks for reading.

    JadedGirl
Thanks. I must admit these little poems are alot of fun to write. The only problem is that I keep thinking up rhymes that fit when I'm driving, and then by the time I've got home I forget them. Curse my mental facilities - they're too slow . . . and wonky. LOL

    Thanks again everyone. :)

No. No exams right now. My school is kind of wierd. Our grades are based on a final project and a test that takes one class period. And standardizeds were in april.

I don't regard that as weird - it's actually kind of sensible. Rewards hard work rather than being good at exams. :)

    And here's another one.
    *****
    [Based on "The King's Breakfast."]

    Wedding plans
(A dramatic kind of poem written for frustrated princes.)

    The Prince asked
    The Aide and
    The Aide asked
    The Courtier:
    "Help me find a wife
That my Mother won't want dead."
    The Aide asked
    The Courtier,
    The Courtier
    Thought gloomily:
    I'd better
    See the old
    Cow,
Or she'll go off her head.

    The Courtier
    He grimaced,
    Then went and found
    Ta'a Chume:
"The Prince seeks a pretty girl
    To grace his marriage bed."
    Ta'a Chume
    Said sweetly:
    "You'd better tell
    The Chume'da
    That many people nowadays
    Choose abstinence
    Instead."

    The Courtier
    Said, "Uh oh!"
    And went to
    The Aid-de-camp.
    He shuffled his feet, and
    He turned beetroot red:
    "Ta'a Chume
    opines that
    Bachelorhood
    Is better,
    Maybe the Chume'da
    Should buy
    A single
    Bed."

    The Aide said,
    "Gah!"
    And went to
    Prince Isolder:
    "Speaking of a woman that
    Your mother won't want dead,
    Many people
    Think that
    Celibacy
    Is safer.
    How about becoming
    A Sunesi
    Instead?"

    The Prince said,
    "Horrors!"
    And then he moaned,
    "Oh woe is me!
    The Prince groaned, "Celibacy!"
    And whacked the Aide's head:
    "Nobody
    Could ever
    Doubt
    I'm a real man!
    All I want's
    A wife who won't
    Make Mother
    See red!"

    The Aide said,
    "Yeouch!"
    And hurried to
    The Courtier.
    The Courtier
    Said, "Wow! What a
    Huge bump on your head!"
    The Queen said,
    "Ha, ha!
    I had you going
    That time.
    Here are the women
    Who've been suitably bred."

    The Aide took
    The holos
    And brought them to
    The Chume'da.
    The latter said,
    "Women! Yay!"
    And bounced on his bed.
    "Some men," he said,
    "Like the docile
    Tender ones.
    Some men," he said,
    "Like the sweet and
    Slender ones.
    But I,
    My friend,
    Like to live
    Life dangerously--
    SO

"I'm going to choose the Alderaanian instead!"
