EDIT: I am kind of enjoying this. Then again, I'm a sucker for albums like Backless and Reptile and the artist in general (GO FIGURE).

First time I heard Eric Clapton was on a Cream CD I had found while bugging one of my mom's co-workers, he let me have his whole CD case, filled with a bunch of classic rock, to listen to for a while. Totally awesome. I still have the MP3's. To poor for being a vinyl collector.

Needless to say it's part of why I turned out so awesome.

I covered Sunshine of Your Love back in February. I read the lyrics off a youtube video, and I was too lazy to look for a karaoke version,
so it plays in the background. I also played it by ear, so it's kinda sloppy as well. I don't play guitar well, so I did all of Jack Bruce's parts instead of
Eric's.

 

I got this for Christmas. Unexpected as I didn't realise it existed. Especially nice as I don't own any of those three albums that make up the bulk of the reissue.

I'd have preferred the 6th disk as a live video, rather than surround sound blu-ray audio mixes, but hey...

It's probably one of his weakest albums-- very sleepy, even the obligatory electric blues number-- but I like the originally intended full title: "The Greatest Guitarist in the World: There's One in Every Crowd."

Also, I didn't know E.C. Was Here got remixed.

Dammit. He's been talking about retiring from touring longer than I've been a fan but I'm always afraid he's serious and I won't be able to see him in L.A. again.

EDIT: That is one really boring setlist. Playing it too safe. Maybe he needs Derek Trucks to come back.
