Niagara, ON *** Grape & Wine Festival Grande Parade ***

Hey everybody -
I don't really have anything to add, Ryan pretty much covered everything.
But thanks again for including us in the parade and picnic this weekend. You guys are a lot of fun and I'm glad we could make it up.

I captured it onto my computer if anyone wants me to send it to them. It's 74.2 megs though, and I'm not seeing myself compressing it anytime in the near future.

Fanboy solo for walking back to the bus station, the bus was 25 minutes late.

Deb (Lelila) for bringing a touch of toronto with you, so I didnt feel so far away.

Also give my thanks to the paintball guy for donating the custume I wore.

This was such a fun thing, but I am very sore, and slept for 14 hours.

Sorry I didn't make it to the B.B.Q. I know I said that I would, but after I got home to change I started feeling ill. I sat down for a min and fell asleep and didnt wake up till late...

I had a blast at the parade though. It was great meeting everyone new and seeing all my old YJN friends again.

I found out that we placed 2nd in the "Best Costumed Characters" group.

Hey, I got an idea that will save everyone the trouble of sending photos to everyone who asks. Just send your photos to yjnphotos@hotmail.com and I'll stick them onto a small webpage for everyone to view. They will later be moved to the official YJN website, but this should be good for now.

That would be the Society for Creative Anachronism (SCA), a fine group of people if I do say so myself.

Oh OK, so I used to be the dance master for them here, so I'm a bit biased!

But no I don't think they won, I believe it was some children's group.

Update: According the paper, The SCA did win for the category "Costume Character".

The SCA was there? Nifty...I didn't see 'em either.
I don't think they should've won 'costumed characters' though. Down here I'm involved with the Society and we sorta describe ourselves similiar to a medieval re-enactment group that studies that period of history....we develop personas, not characters.
Just my random thought.
