I couldn't find the thread for this, so I thought I'd start a new one.

We should start getting things ready for the parade. It will be here before you know it. Those who have costumes should be checking to see if any alterations need to be done and get them done in a timely manner, preferably not the night before!

I wanted to start making a list of everyone who will be walking in the parade. Please post below if you are coming so we can keep the list updated.

I know we have an open invitation to London, Toronto, Syracuse and Buffalo, so please feel free to post here to with any thoughts and ideas, and also if you are able to come or not. There will be more information to post in the upcoming future, but I thought I'd get the ball going.

This year we are "upgrading" our entry in the parade. We have been given permission to use my truck. The truck will be used for our younger members and those who have difficulty walking.

We have some touch-ups to do on the stuff here, but we can still give anyone a hand. Hoping we can do a costume "sig" thing wayyyyy before the actualy parade.

Strawberry also asked if there would be any extra costumes. ( one for her son), And I still have to hear back from ppl I know who wanted to come out for it, but might need costumes. As soon as I know for sure I'll post it.

Costumes:
Can I request that someone contact Jerry and ask him if we can borrow them again? Then pick them up. We should have them ahead of time to do any "repairs". I'm sure some of them are "shot up" from his last paintball game.

 

About costumes. I am in the process of cutting a deal with someone so it should be ready by then but I need help from you guys. Without going online I need to still find a belt and boots that would be appropriate for a Jedi costume. I am looking for something inexpensive. Can anyone help me out.

For a belt, you can make your own for about 30 bucks...PM Woofer

 

Chris: If they need to have a touch-up day, I got a yard, and can store them for however long you wish (got an entire free room now).

Also putting up the vacancy sign on my door if need be.

 

We have set the day aside to make it this year. I am not sure of how many of us will be coming, but hope to have most of us there for the day.

 

If you can get a headcount to us, that would be great.

Put me down as well btw. I am supposed to be working that day but I'm going to pull in some unpaid OT to get the day off.

 

Put me down as coming, but not in costume for now.

 

I will come, but I will be blond. . .. Anyone got a spare jedi costume? Or, I might beable to make a quick Jedi costume. . . Fabric permiting. . .

well, does anyone know where I can get a cheap wig for my Mon Mothma costume? If not I'll have to borrow one if I come to the parade (let me remind you that I have yet to be in a parade, and I'd like to).

 

I'll be there, School work permitting. Right now I am about 45% finished a Jedi Costume that I hope to have finished in time for the parade.

 

Mal, Value Village has a whole bunch of wigs for cheap.

 

Andrew, wear one that is cool! It may be warm and I don't want to have to run you to the hospital...of course I will be driving the truck, so it will be easy!!

 

That's why I'm am debating. Either I wear a cool comfortable set of Jedi robes, or wear that crowd-pleasing oven of a wookiee costume.
