    Note: For the K.I.S.S. challenge for Monday Mush Mania -- featuring a literal kiss and also keeping it simple & short.

    Leia found this particular day liberating indeed! She had the nanny droid for their twins, Tanda and Jaina, disassembled and turned into spare parts.

    "Mommy, where's Nanny?" Tanda asked.

    Leia grinned. "You won't have to worry about N4D5 anymore."

    Tanda and Jaina greeted the news with relief. The droid's 'bedtime stories' were nowhere near as entertaining as Daddy's!

    Leia also filed an indefinite leave of absence from all political duties.

    Han, meanwhile, sent her a dozen purple Chandrillan roses and triple-checked the Millennium Falcon, particularly the hyperdrive. He sauntered into their conapt, swept her up and spun her around, giving her a long, fervent kiss, as if he hadn't seen her that same morning.

    "Well," Leia said, when he finally released her, "What was that for? Should I be thrilled or worried?"

    He laughed. "How about you and me go for a little vacation with the girls, take our time on all the resort worlds from here to the MidRim?"

    Leia smiled radiantly. "Great minds run along the same lines, I see."

    Leia was in full agreement with every bit of his plan.

    She told him what she'd done throughout the day. He gave a whoop of delight and squeezed the breath out of her again.

    Family time ... that's what they wanted and needed and deserved and nothing and no one was going to keep them from it!

    AWWWW, SQUEEAGE! [face_love] Sweet combination here of Han and Leia's romantic love with love of their family—it all goes together, after all! What a wonderful vacation they'll have together, and what a liberating feeling it will be to know that they all will have time for all of each other, from this moment on.     Oh how sweet for words was this?? [face_love]

    I loved the framework: of Leia dismissing that pesky nanny droid and taking a leave of absence to spend time with her family. For all of her dedication to the greater good she certainly deserves this reprieve, and her family is just as happy to share in her undivided attention! [face_love] (And I bet that Han tells the best bedtime stories. :p)

    What a wonderful kiss, too!! Han and Leia's love for each other was just as beautifully expressed as their love for their entire family. I bet they're going to enjoy every moment of their vacation together! [face_love]

    This was lovely, as always! As wonderfully mushy an answer to the challenge as could be! =D= [:D]

    Awww! Hooray for family time! And hooray for husbands who surprise you with roses and passionate kisses! Great minds do think alike here, and it sounds like both of them knew that some time away and time together was exactly what their family needed. Han’s proposed vacation sounds like a wonderful time for everyone. I’m sure he was surprised, but immensely gratified that he didn’t have to convince Leia to take time off and I’m sure the girls were thrilled with the idea, too! The Solo family will no doubt create many happy memories on their vacation and treasure all the time they spend together [face_love]
