Hi there. I am a Star Wars fan from way back in the day when they used to have intermission at the cinema, but not quite so far back as when they used to sing the national anthem before the film started. Kind of drifted away from it for a few years for one reason or another, but a certain TV series involving that guy from Swingers has lured me back. Hope everyone is making a good start to 2021.

    Welcome @Billy Budd

I too came in with the original trilogy. Still is my favorite set of movies. :D It is wonderful seeing long-time fans joining and/or returning.

Welcome. I too remember the days of the intermission. The intermission was good for those who drank too much soda. I dont remember if any of the OT had an intermission though.

I know there were intermissions but like you say, I can't remember if there was on in ANH, I was so busy being overwhelmed I guess.

Hey, @Billy Budd , are you a sailor? That's a great book, and a good movie too.

    Thanks for the welcome, people.

Yes, I was around in '77, but it was '78 before I got to see Star Wars. Back then (here I go again) it took months for new releases to make it to New Zealand. The original trilogy is my favourite and Star Wars '77 remains my favourite of those three, although I acknowledge that Empire is probably the best film of the set. The prequels and sequels were fine. I was entertained. The Mandalorian and Rogue One really got my attention, though. Mando especially.

@Sarge, I can't lay claim to any nautical skills I'm afraid. My username and avatar are Morrissey references. I have seen the film and enjoyed it, though. Must check out the book.

 KIWI!! [:D] COUSIN!! [face_love] I saw it in Sept 1977, as it took that long to get to Australia. ;)

Rebels was amazing too, give it a go, will make Mando more logical! Love R1 too [face_love]

Welcome! I myself am still new to this forum but welcome nonetheless!

I got a question, I don't mean to be offensive, I'm genuinely curious. How did you feel when Temuera Morrison, a Kiwi actor, first appeared as Jango Fett and the Clones in 2002?

    On top of that....
How did you feel when he made his triumphant return as Boba Fett?

I was interested to hear Boba's backstory and thought it was pretty cool that Tem was going to play Jango. I thought he did a decent job. His performance as Boba in Mando recently was next level for me. Visceral, powerful. As I said elsewhere, I feel that he brought a little of his most famous role, Jake the Muss, to that performance.

He definitely channeled Jake the Muss with Boba. Man, he did a FANTASTIC job with Boba in Mando. I loved how he gave Boba a dark, menacing, sorta gravely voice as opposed to Jango and the Clones. Can't wait for Book of Boba!
