The Mandalorian Din Grogu [Baby Yoda] (Spoilers)

So...should this thread get a new title since we know the kid's name?

From what was implied in the episode ( remember Ahsoka said Grogu was trained by several Jedi Masters), could that be in the reality the whole baby/mentality/demeanor of the Child is just a self defense mechanism to prevent people realizing he's Force sensitive/Jedi ?
I mean, at age 50 he acts like a baby but he should/could act like a "normal/adult" person but got caught in this "baby" mental state as a shell and now can't get out of it ? Like he ended up trapped in his own defense mechanism ?

 

Wow this brings me back to the good old days of post TFA speculation where one of the theories was that Luke had previously trained Rey and put a mindblock on her.

 

So we now have another official survivor of Order 66, Gorgu. And his survival while mysterious originates from the Jedi Temple on Coruscant. (Younglings didn’t survive but he did)

As like Luke Skywalker Gorgu hid his force abilities (different time frames but still same interesting method)

I wonder if there are any other survivors from the jedi who could still be living like Grogu.

 

Grogu would have only been a youngaling at the temple

 

Grogu would have been 23 so youngling who between baby and toddler stage.

 

I do wonder which Jedi saved him

I really love that moving forward now, Din isn't just dictating Grogu's actions and trying to find the right path for him. Once they get to the "Seeing Stone" Grogu actually now has a say in his own destiny, his own path, and can choose to reach out to a Jedi or, more likely, stay with Din. Really great way to now put narrative weight in Grogu's hands as well as Din's.

I hope they explore this in the future on-screen, and maybe it will highlight a greater commonality, which why their paths converged. I can imagine Grogu's rescue from the purge parallels Din's rescue from the droids.

Also, who was in charge of the babies? I want to know more about the temple staff. What does the Jedi nursery look like?

 

My head canon wants Jocasta Nu to save him from the temple and Kyle Katarn to be the one to respond to the call on Tython.

Jocasta? Maybe. Katarn? Not gonna happen.

 

I think Kyle Katarn is lost in legends. more likley a character based on him.
