The Mandalorian Din Grogu [Baby Yoda] (Spoilers)

The recent rumor about Grogu sounds abit silly. Favreau is still in his iron man phase.

Fair points. As I said, I have sometimes enjoyed things a lot more than I thought I would, so that could happen again.

Then again, sometimes I enjoyed things exactly as much as I thought I would.

Personally Din and Boba are closer to ironman, this sounds more like

Battletech/mechwarrior, but tiny. Or that guy from the first men in black.

 

Thank the Maker that Favreau was able to convince him and Lucasfilm in general.

 

Yes but I like that they are able to talk things out together, with give and take.

 

After watching Part III of Kenobi, I'm wondering if maybe Quinlan Vos was the one to rescue Grogu from the Temple?

 

With so many jedi survivors, it could be anyone, lol.

 

Grogu's age trough the saga.

 

I already made a joke theory that Grogu might be the Chosen One, but i also think it's possible that he really is for the right reasons.

1. Born from a almost mythological species, we don't even know the name of, with a extremely strong connection to the force.

2. Most likely neither becoming a Jedi nor a Sith.

3. Possibly being able to use the dark side, without becoming corrupted by it.

 

He is definitely Disney-LFL’ Chosen One, prophesied to bring back merchandise sales and lucrative licensing contracts. But like the Jedi Order, Bob Chapek and Kathleen Kennedy may be misreading the prophecy, he will become too powerful, taking over their next feature film and utterly bombing it as Chinese AI animation studios destroy Hollywood. The Chosen One does not bring salvation, he brings doom . . .

Becoming a Jedi is generally considered to be the highest calling in the Saar Wars universe, at least for those who are force-sensitive. After spending three movie trilogies following the respective quests of Luke, Anakin, and Rey to become Jedi, Grogu’s apparent decision not to train probably felt jarring to some; we haven’t seen any characters (besides Leia on Ajan Kloss) turn down that opportunity and chart their own path instead. I agree that it feels right for his character though, given what he’s already been through.

 

And I really applaud Fav and Filoni for taking this path with Grogu.

It would be all too easy for them to make Grogu yet another superhero and confine his characterisation to a tiny box. Everyone expects it, but this hasn't been Grogu's journey so far.

And it would be fantastic to see a Force-User in the Star Wars galaxy that is not Jedi or Sith - not someone who can be so clearly defined as good and evil. This shouldn't be the only 2 options for someone FS.

For me, a character should be allowed to evolve based on what they experience - and that characterisation should not be static either. The characterisation should continually change as their journey unfolds.

 

Bold Prediction! In season three of The Mandalorian Grogu will speak!

He will say, "this is the way."

 

Immediately followed by, "I have spoken."

 

And then, "I have a bad feeling about this!"

 

Then cut to 3PO saying “Aaah, he speaks now!” and Finn saying “He speaks now?” and Poe saying “He speaks now.”

 

Grogu gotta eat.
