I dont have many plans for the season however i would love to go down to the archery range for a day however with UK's new Covid rules i dont think that will happen anytime soon. I have started to make another lightsaber from scratch so i hope that i can get that finished before the new year. I have also started to manufacture my own C1 series astromech droid however it is slow progress. I was gifted a shell of a drum by my drum teacher and it looked like the body of chopper so i now have started to make my second droid. sarcastic Yay. @ConservativeJedi321 you will be glad to hear that i have almost finished writing up a response to the task you set me a long time ago and i hope to get it sent through to you on boxing day; once again apologies for the immense lateness of the answer DRL has caught me and trapped me. also i wanted to post it if i was Teh mole and put clues in the answer but i dont think that will happen anytime soon.

When injustice becomes law,
that's when resistance becomes compulsive.

Relate this to the Empire and First Order. Do you believe they were legalizing's Injustice? Would you resist? Would a Jedi Master Resist? You know what they did to the Jedi with lies and innuendo/implication, do you feel in this instance the Jedi should have retreated or fought? Do you believe some did? Hid their identities and just (like Kanan) fought?

Tell us your thoughts on this one.





Empy’s Response:

Both the Empire and the First Order were absolutely legalizing injustice. With that in mind, it is nowhere in the Jedi Code to yield to the law under all circumstances. We only work with the government if it is designed to represent the will of the people, not a few corrupted leaders.

I would have gladly fought against both Imperial ruling bodies, and I think a Jedi Master would realize that taking action is the best way to ensure galactic peace in the long term.

Using the rise of the Empire as an example, I think their biggest mistake was not sending more Jedi after Palpatine. It was too late once he launched the infamous Order 66. But no mistake the Jedi made was irredeemable, or an indication that the order was a failure as a whole After that point, the Jedi were totally right to flee and live to fight another day.

While Obi-Wan had a meaningful purpose in hiding to protect Luke Skywalker, most other survivors would have done good by joining with others who openly opposed the Empire. But at that point, it would have been very risky to attract Palpatine’s attention to the point where he would hunt us down himself. But the Jedi are no strangers to confronting large armies who oppose us.

In the case of the First Order, there was no reason for a Jedi Master to hide when an army of allies was right there to support you against a new and weak Imperialist faction. The massacre of Luke’s Jedi Academy was a definite tragedy, but it did not warrant exile from the growing conflict that put the galaxy into chaos again (cough cough). The later-era Luke’s actions, in my opinion, were a poor representation of a Jedi’s role in protecting peace.
