Guardians of the Old Republic..... this actually sounds good enough for a story....... WAIT A SECOND!

 

I originally didn't think I would like KotOR...I mean, what's Star Wars without a Skywalker somewhere within shouting distance? I'm such a Skywalker fangirl, it's not even funny. I was really surprised when I turned out to love KotOR. Of course, I did come up with my own ways that the Skywalker family is connected to the characters in the KotOR era. So I guess I'll never be completely cured of my fangirlishness.

Yeah, I need to get on that... too bad I can't type on laptop keyboards much anymore, I'd take my laptop with me to work and write during breaks. Alas, I cannot. Oh well.

This was my response to the Quotations Roulette challenge, but it's a KOTOR era story: Unless, Of Course, He's the Pilot. I'm quite happy with how it came out.

Do we have any further ideas for KOTOR awards? Last discussion I remembered was hammering out details for what exactly each of the categories were.

 

I'm still gathering ideas for the Awards. If anyone can offer input, feel free!

I'm also announcing I wrote a KotOR2 parody rap for the "Before" fic awards! I'm working on putting it into a fic, so as soon as it's done it'll be up!

(And oh yeah. Upping this thread!)

 

This post serves three purposes.

One, it ups the thread.

Two, it proclaims that ALL fics advertised in the thread thus far have been added. If it turns out I missed one, post in here and let me know.

Three, I'll be finalizing the ideas for the KotOR Awards in the next few days. Any input? Feel free to leave it!

Agreed. But just for a little while, Harry Potter has taken precedence over KOTOR.

Don't worry, within a week the natural order of things shall be restored. IN fact, as soon as I finsh the book (which I am currently halfway through, having started reading it a few hours ago), I'll likely go back to working on my KOTOR stories. And KOTOR costumes. Let's face it- as far as costuming goes, Harry Potter is kinda boring. Any kid can grab round glasses and a stick and call himself Harry Potter. It takes dedication to put together a good-looking Visas Marr.

Oh well, the sooner I finish, the sooner I can get back to work- it was going to be a distraction until I read it, best to get it out of the way sooner rather than later.

If I could make a costume I would do a Bastila and a Darth Revan But I dont have the time, or talent to do that

 

Yes, I agree. I'm going to make a costume of my Jedi OC, Sabyne...replete with long red hair (most likely a wig unless I'm VERY fortunate) and full costume!

I need to keep reading on HP now that I have it.

 

Heh, both of the outfits I've dreamed up for Leiraya are on my costuming list, too. My hair's not as long as hers (yet), but I'll be able to work with it. And I'll have to temporarily dye my hair that plummy violet colour if it's the second costume I came up with for her... at least I know I can use a temporary dye for that one!

But that's not happening until after my X-Wing pilot, which isn't happening until after Visas. Or maybe I'll just work on them during the school year, when I only have time to work on smaller projects.

Yay for KOTOR costumers- we need more of them.
