I actually came up with something. Two challenges in a month for me. A record! And my first foray onto the Saga board.

Ok, I did one. Took three tries to find a bad enough opening sentence to please those kind enough to venture an opinion but I guess that should be considered a good thing right?

Summary: Padmé and her handmaidens get an unexpected answer when they experiment with Dormé?s Ouija Board. My answer to the 2005 Halloween challenge.

My word program says this is 1,000 words. (I didn't include the quote or title in the word count as they aren't part of the story.)

Writing a vig with exactly 1,000 words is harder than I thought! But this has been so much fun and I've really enjoyed reading everyone's responses.

 

Well, I have an opening line. Not sure if I'll do anything with it. But I have an opening line.


"Emperor Palpatine was naked."

Try to top that for horror and terror in an opening line.

 

I just about choked on my dinner just now. That wins hands down as far as I am concerned.
