In less than three weeks Halloween will be upon us. I wonder if anyone knows what they're going to be doing for the holiday. The way things are looking I'm seeing a couple of possibilities open to me...
I can go to a Lodge meeting (Freemason meetings each Tuesday), I can sit around the house and pass out candy to three kids (I live on a tucked away little street and so no one ever comes here, which means that I get to eat all the candy), or I can participate in a costume contest thing at school (ITT Tech).
Whatever I end up doing, I intend to do it dressed as a Jedi. I have a professional grade costume and so it looks good. The only missing component is my Jedi belt and I was assured that it would be here before Halloween (It's a custom belt I ordered a couple of months ago). Of course, when the belt does arrive, I intend to join the Rebel Legion.
If, by unfortunate circumstance, the belt does not arrive in time I can always dress as a wizard. I own a full set of black wizard robes with a cloak, ring belt, pouches, real wand, etc.
If I assemble a costume I try to make it complete and of a high quality and so I'll look presentable no matter which ensemble I end up wearing. I'm hoping to dress as a Jedi and so I'm crossing my fingers that the belt arrives in time.

My goodness... it's been just over a week and this topic still remains untouched. What, is it somethig I said?
My Jedi belt did arrive in time and it fits wonderfully. I played around today and fully dressed in my Jedi gear. It looks pretty good if I do say so myself.
And now my one final hope... May one child, just one, be impressed at seeing a Jedi at the door passing out candy.

Where did you order the belt from? What model is it, knight, padawan?

Sorry I didn't reply to this thread, since I'm not in VC any more I don't know much about what to do for Halloween. I spent my last few Halloween's going to Hollywood and hanging out in costume there. There's rarely anything good going on in VC itself.

This year we're going to get to go to the ILM Halloween party but we have no idea what we're going to wear. Pretty much the only costumes we have are Star Wars and that would probably be a little too on-the-nose. That's on the 28th though so I still don't know what we're going to do on Halloween itself.

Any suggestions on cheap, thrift store costumes that won't look too lame let me know. Perferably something scary.

I ordered my belt from Ashton Synn of NyghtCraft Leather.

Padawan, Knight... either term would work. I had this belt custom made from options that I selected and I had Ashton add the second upper belt (a simple variation on the prequel belt style). It fills out my Jedi garb nicely.

Considering that it's an ILM party I agree... Star Wars costumes might be a little over the top. LOL Still, Star WArs costumes truly would be appropriate, I think.

Cool, he made the holster I have for the 181st TIE pilot costume I'm making (that will probably never be finished). He does really good work!

    /guilt look at marma

    Yeah, unfinished costumes....uh....

Well, maybe I'll get that flight suit bib finished someday...!?

    For us, the Halloween schedule:
    27th Pumpking carving party
29th Costume party for kiddies at our church
31st Kids go trick or treating

I probably won't dress up for Halloween, as I'll just be escorting the kids with my husband. (At work, I always managed one handmaiden costume or another...) I'll probably dress up SWsy for Cel IV, tho.

    Nice costume, Nassik!

And marma...hmmm...have you checked the BuyCostume.com site lately? There might be some good last minute deals. I think they have 99 cent FedEx right now, too.
